Uh...its the trailer this whole thread is talking about? Haha

Its the no-name custom trailer found on ebay by this seller & maker sky_lynx1978, which is a replica of G1 trailer, but upscaled to fit MP Prime. For more details, just read the previous posts and you'll get the idea.

No, no...I realize it's KO masterpiece size trailer. What I'm really wanting to know is who the actual manufacturer of this trailer is. The ebay seller you mentioned doesn't have any for auction right now. Kooltoyz is also sold out, but they the company that produces it?

Basically, this trailer is made by the ebay seller sky_lynx1978. He is a Chinese guy I heard, and got hook up with some Chinese toy factory to mass produce this KO trailer for him. So really, not a known aftermarket brand like Justitoys or anything. From what I heard, he actually had a thread on one of the TF forums back a couple years, showing the progress on development on this knock-off trailer. And heard he invested a lot of money manufacturing too. So, its sort of a fan made mass production trailer that pays a lot of homage to the G1 version, but now bigger and made to fit MP Prime. While he has been selling the trailer on and off for the past year or two, he recently start making the upgrade kit for it, hence what you see in my recent posts. The trailer is US$99, and the kit about US$50, and his international shipping cost is not cheap. So it does cost a lot to have this thing. But if thats not an issue for you, you can contact him directly through the old ebay auction link I posted before (maybe from last page or 2 in this thread). And ask him directly if he has any available. The chances are, he still have a bunch, even though they do sell pretty fast. Thats how I got my upgrade kit. Email him through ebay when there was no listing, then he quickly put up a set in auction for me to purchase. You do get a small discount on shipping if you buy both together. Hope that answers some of your questions.

Although the price isn't really an issue I guess it would be foolish to spend $200.00 on a trailer that I will probably tranform one time just for the novelty of it. I think I'll get the Justitoy version, the only reason I really want it is to improve the appearance of Prime in alt mode. Still good to know who to contact if I ever have a change of heart.

Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
The only thing left to do for this trailer is to make a G1 styled version of the voice box and rocket launchers from the G2 Prime. Maybe even make the Autobot logo red chromed.

I'm really impressed with this add on, and thanks for the review.

I'm still not convinced it is a $50 add on for me though.

I hope he lowers the price a bit in the future, because for $25 I'd be all over this.

Thanks again for the review!

Hey mpchi, thanks for the review and the pictures.. I had no idea that someone had made an upgrade kit. Although it's very cool, I tend to keep my Prime in truck mode when he's on display.. I suppose I would jump at an upgrade if it was cheap enough, but for now I'm pretty damn happy with the KO trailer as is :)

sky_linx1978 must be making a killing on this product.. lol

Surprisingly, the seller don't seem to be all that active recently on ebay, with barely any listing when a bunch of guys were asking for the trailer and the upgrade kit. Wish his QC is better, but a killer product (with a killer price) regardless. :D

I myself love to display the trailer in different modes, now that it looks good in all. Truck mode if I want it to be vehicle, battle station if I want to make a diorama with my other BTs, or the repair bay mode just to save shelf space.

Just added a pic. Even Prime himself is giving a thumbs up on his new trailer. :D LOL

LOL!

It's pictures like THAT that leave my family rolling their collective eyes at me, silently judging me and all the other people (over the age of twelve) who enjoy Transformers.
