I have tons of bots fron every series and each hase it's own stand out molds, but who's to say whats right for me is right for others.
To some 08 BB is the holy grail, currently myself, I'm looking at Deathsarus and Victory Leo...
And next month I'll be looking for the next big guy, but I'm just at that point in my collection.
As far as "MUST HAVES" go though, I'll give you one frome each line.
G1 Autobot, BumbleBee. Quick, simple, endlessly fun, and an undeniable buddy, the pure epidimy of what an AutoBot is. Are there better, sure, but this little yellow guy has character.
G1 Decepticon, SoundWave, versatile, relatable, coniving and loyal at the same time, and plays well with others even if his knees are backwards.
HeadMasters AutoBot, PM Prime(Ginrah). Basicly a brick, but a scale upgrade of the AutoBot Leader, and a fine example of single bot multi piece alt tech
HeadMasters Decepticon, SixShot. The same principal as Prime, but instead of multi modes using various pieces, this is all done in one figure, which is still very much a brick.
MasterForce AutoBot, Siren, A smaller headmaster that uses the pilot seat as part of the bot mode to make for a clean looking figure(at least from the shoulders up.
MasterForce Decepticon HorriBull, the Bot mode is somewhat lax, however unlike the other Decepticon HeadMasters in this series, he has an almost realistic cyber/bot mode
TransFormers Victory Autobot, Victory Saber. Granted I don't know much about this series, but the BrainMaster design of this figure is a nice step forward from PM Prime. Very different alts, but the concept is both very similar and advanced which is a nice step forward.
Transformers Victory Decepticon Monstructor, one of the tiniest mainline combiners ever in cool dino shells, whats not to love!
Transformers Zone Autobot, Dai Atlas. I got him over the holidays, and his base alt is amazing! He can link with other MicroMaster bases such as CountDown, and even Star Convoy
Transformers Zone Decepticon, Predaking. I know he didn't actualy get a Zone retool, but he was in the one episode and is a nice way for me to work him into this![]()
Transformers BattleStars, I know to little about this series to realy coment, but I have the reissue Starconvoy, and realy wand Grandus and Sky Garry.
Transformers G2 Autobot, Laser Prime. Horrible decals, but great weapon options and articulation. RID Scourge fans can attest!
Transformers G2 Decepticons. Well, I don't know what the G2 name is, but in Beast Wars Neo he was refered to as StarScream and BB. Great triple changer alt, with alt combination. Lots of fire power, and 2 cool bot modes.
Beast Wars Maximals, Optimal Optimus. Initialy I didn't like the look of him, but upon purchase, it's easy to see why he is both alpha and omega! Lots of transformation possiblities that far excede the box here. A fun Bot to play with!
Beast Wars Predicons, TerraGator. Probably the most neglected bot in TF history. The alt is so-so, but does offer snapping jaws! The transformation and articulation are great though, and with a very cool gun and full size shield, he realy makes for a great time![]()
Beast Wars2 Maximal, Apache, he kinda looks like a Maximal Duke from GIJoe. The alt mode sucks, but the bot mode is well armed and the third mode is very intimidating. Guns and rockets everywhere!
Beast Wars2 Predicons, Galvatron. Just go get one, trust me all you hear about is Magmatron this and Magmatron that. This guy can kick his ass easy!
Beast Wars Neo Maximals, LongRack. A very complex transformation with alot of hidden details. Hidden weapons and a fing sculpt, this guy is alot of fun paired with Break and Stampy.
Beast Wars Neo Predicons, DeadEnd. I wish they would revisit him with a pearlcoat paint job cause if you can figure him out, he is an exquisit bot
Beast Machines Maximals, BlackArachnia. Acurate to the show, and a devine unexploiting example of how lovely and dangerious a female Transformer can be
Beast Machines Vehicons, Any of the drones. They captured the show counterparts down to the letter.
RID AutoBot, Prowl. Sleak, Articulate, lots of options for weapon positions. A dam fine figure with well placed Kibble
RID Predicons Slapper. Excellent articulation. I prefer the Beast Wars Blue colors, but this figure has a great transformation and range of movement
RID Decepticons, Scourge. Evil G2 Prime, wats not to love!!!
Armada AutoBots Red Alert. Hidden gimicks by the truck load, great articulation, and fun to use with the minicons.
Armada Decepticons SideWays, a nice revisit to the Headmaster idea. Not alot of articulation, but a great incorportaion of the headmasters(yes plural) acting as riders.
Armada MiniCons Sea Team. Only one word I can say about these guys "FUN"
Energon AutoBot Rodimus. Welcome back in a battle ready updated form. Nice alt, and great articulation!
Energon Decepticons DiveBomb. I can't get enough of posing that bird bot. The clear feathers in the wings make for a nice display
Cybetron AutoBot Optimus Prime, rivaled by maybe RID Prime, probably the best most versatile Prime ever
Cybretron Decepticons, Nemisis Breaker. A so-so alt, and not the best articulation, but he just screams sinister and evil!
Movie AutoBot, Longarm. Underrated, but a great bot to transform, exclent sculpt, and astounding weapon!
Movie Wreckage, could have easily been a ninja Megatron
Animated, I don't have any yet, so I can't say.
So if your still here, as far as must haves go, these are mine, but I still reiterate with what I started, collect what you like!
