My experience with LAF toys (so far)

Postby robofreak » Mon Nov 17, 2008 9:23 pm

So I made an order from laftoys for some Henkei figures on the 13th. There payment policy says that it take 1-2 business day for payment to process on my credit card, but it is now the 17th and my card has not been charged.

I've sent a couple emails and have yet to receive a response. If I don't get an answer by Wednesday, I'm going to call them as I'm getting close to being annoyed now. I know they might be busy, but I'm the type of person who expects people to follow the rules they make and get annoyed when they don't. I know people have had good experiences with them, but I'm dissapointed at the moment when I compare them to the treatment I get at BBTS. I always get a reply to an email by the next day at least from BBTS, but I've yet to hear anything from laftoys.

Anyone else had this problem?

I've never ordered from them, but if you placed your order on the 13th, which was last Thursday, today would only be the second business day. I wouldn't be worried yet. Not everyone is as prompt as BBTS.

I ordered a Encore Megatron and Gurren Lagann Revoltech from them about 2 months ago. I think it took about a week for the credit card charges to go through but I did receive confirmation E-mails whenever the order status changed.

My items did arrive to my home eventually (about a week after the charge went through), Nicely packed and blemish free. So just give them a few more days.

I did not take that into considertaion. I tend to forget the length of business days sometimes.

Like I said, if I don't hear anything by Wednesday then I'll start to go from slightly annoyed to pissed.

I'll be happy as long as I get my stuff in a timely manner.

We've all been there. You place an order and every step of the process seems to be painfully slow. From what I understand LAFtoys are legit, I'm sure you'll get your stuff soon. I always order from BBTS. I usually don't even shop around for a better price, I've always had a good relationship with them and that's worth something on it's own. I know what I can expect from them.

I only ordered from them because their Henkei deluxes were all about $5 cheaper than what BBTS was selling them for with the exception of Ramjet. It was still a deal that was really good by Henkei standards.

I just received an email that my irder will be processed and shipped today. Apparently Carlos was out of town and unable to take care of orders.

Well that's good. Keep us updated cause I like to pump them as a good company from my experiences with them in the past. I don't want to feed people bad info if there are any problems with them.

Just a quick update: Apparently, my package has arrived and is at the post office. What bugs me though is the fact that when I checked the website with my tracking number it says the delivery was attempted, but failed and something about a notice was left for me at 9:30 this morning. My parents were home and they would have heard the doorbell. I checked everywhere outside and there was no notice. I mean, I looked everywhere because I figured it may have got caught by the wind. It says on the site that my package will be returned to sender unless picked up.

What bugs me now is the dishonesty of USPS. They've done this to me TWICE now. First with an order from Rabid Squirrel and now with laftoys. How hard is it to give me my frikkin package?!?!?! I'm going down there tomorrow and I can tell you that I'm going to be super pissed if they sent my package back without giving me time to pick it up.

What's really ticking me off too is that I bought something from another user on the site and that package showed up right at my door without any problem just a few days ago. So has USPS brought it upon themselves to tell me what I can and cannot have?

Laftoys has been a pleasure to deal with after I got an email saying he just got back from out of town and would fulfill my order which was accomplished with record speed. USPS is now the one holding everything up. I don't know what condition the figures are in yet, but I'll at least say for now that laftoys is legit.

Well, after fighitng with my post office, I finally got my package and I can say that I am quite pleased. Everything was very well packed and all the cards were nice and mint. I will be buying from laftoy again.

The Ramjet I got is missing the gold paint app on his left arm. Is that a misprint?

Good to hear that they arived in one piece. I would have felt bad pumping them up all this time if they didn't. Of all the sites I have ordered from Carlos/LAFToys does by far the best packing job.
