My idea for a working TF.GI Joe crossover line.

I know there have been ideas for TF/GI Joe crossover toy lines before, but I was thinking of this the other day and came with with an idea. Bring back the Headmasters, Powermasters and Targetmaster style toys from 1987-88. Have the vehicles be GI Joe style toys, but then instead of Nebulans, have the "masters" by GI Joe Characters. For instance have Powermaster Optimus Prime as a big GI Joe military truck, and his Powermaster partner be Duke or Flint. Likewise we could see Shockwave with "Headmaster Destro", or the Instections with Targetmaster Dreadnoks Torch, Ripper and Buzzer as partners. Starscream with Powermaster Cobra Commander would be double-Chris Latta coolness.

I gotta say,I like the idea. Although the GiJoes would be awfully small, I think it could work nicely.

I'd love a Cobra Commander piloting a huge Megatron tank.

Hmm that would be pretty cool, although they could make the GI Joe characters a little bigger then what the headmasters were and give them some nice detail.

I wonder who the Baroness would be a Binary partner to? :-?

I would rather the Transformers be to scale with the GI Joe figures currently on the market, that way it's functional for GI Joe while still being a Transformer. For example, Rattlers are a no brainer for a new seekers type Transformer.

If they wanted to go all out they could just do established characters like Starscream to scale so that a GI Joe character could fit in the cockpit. Imagine how big that Starscream would be. Also, I would forsee a lot less ejecting by the inept Cobra pilots.

An actual F15 is about 64 feet long. 3 3/4 inch tall Gi Joes are about 1/19 scale. So a Starscream to that scale would be about 3.3 feet long in scale.

Still, Kicker and Highwire are in GI Joe scale, maybe Mini-Cons the size of Deluxes would work for a Gi Joe line?

look, just take the big Black jet from Gi Joe, the Cobra one, you know that had the extra pod on the back..

Take it to a kitbashing specialist.. and turn him into that Starscream!!! I'm like totally serious, that's what we should get from Hasbro... Functional Vehicles.. Gi Joe Vehicles that transform... ok, so not necessarily in complete scale.. but a Hiss tank/Prime wouldn't be too much to ask for...

Some of the toys out wouldn't be that much of a stretch- Ultimate Bumblebee is almost in scale with 6-inch figures. something only slightly larger than an Alternator would work wel... and just look at movie Arcee... so close, yet so far...

Well, with GI joe men being 1/19 scale, and taking a page from the TF scale thread on this board, here are some TFs that are nearly in scale with GI Joe as it is. Sadly it's mostly Beast Wars...

http://www.seibertron.com/forums/viewto ... t=765&sid=

1:17
TM Cheetor - toy is 13.5 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 230cm tall.
TM Rampage - toy is 20 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 340cm tall.
Longrack - toy is 17cm tall, but in the show he stands 2.9 meters tall.
Archadis - toy is 18cm tall, but in the show he stands 3.1 meters tall.

1:18
Scissorboy - toy is 12cm tall, but in the show he stands 2.1 meters.
Big Convoy - toy is 18cm tall, but in the show he stands 3.2 meters tall.

1:19
Kicker, an average GI Joe or Star Wars figure stands 3.75 inches tall and a normal human stands about 72 inches tall give or take. That's a 1:19 scale. With the Highwire toy that accompanies Kicker standing 5 inches tall, that would make the Mini-Con 95 inches tall, or 7'11'' tall.
Motorarm - toy is 16 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 3 meters tall.
Beast Wars Second Starscream - toy is 13 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 2.5 meters tall.
TM Optimus Primal - toy is 16 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 300cm tall.
TM Tarantulas - toy is 13 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 250cm tall.

1:20
Fuzor Silverbolt - toy is 13 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 260cm tall.
Fuzor Quickstrike - toy is 10 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 200cm tall.
Corada - toy is 14cm tall, but in the show he stands 2.75 meters tall.

1:21
Scuba - toy is 13 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 2.7 meters tall.
LioJunior - toy is 10.5 centimeters tall and the character is supposed to stand 2.2 meters tall.
Beast Wars Neo Hydra - toy is 13cm tall, but in the show he stands 2.7 meters tall.

No, all we need are TF characters that turn into GI Joe/Cobra vehicles, kind of like in the comics. I want my Hound/VAMP, damn it!

I want a Prowl that turns into a Comba Firebat and a Trailbreak that turns into a Stinger.
