Hey everybody i'm the new and just signed up. i am a long time transformers fan and just happened to find this great site!

anyway sine i notice people posting some reviews, I might as well give it a shot.

All in all this movie was great! The opening scene with blackout was cool, and the music when the transformers landed was very fitting for that scene. the Autobots werre given personalities that were goofy and funny. (they scanned the internet! LOL)

However did anyone else think that the autobots were severly outmatched? I mean, I know the decepticons were war vehiclesmade to destroy, but I figured ironhide would blast them to bits. and speaking of blasting Jazz was such a letdown. I'm black and I was not offended by his personality as being stereotypical, but his skill killed me.
He had no weapons, and was thrown around like a rag doll. at least he was ...brave if thats what you want to call it.

"You want a piece a me Megatron! Megatron:"yeah two" I mean WOW I already heard that Jazz dies, but they could have at least had him sacrifice himself to save Sam or something!

anyway Prime's voice was spot on, he sounded like someone's grandfather, and his role was human, meaning his choice on what to do with the all spark would have destroyed him, making his knowledge no more superior than anybody else.

and finally megatron. I thought megatron was made to be too powerful. I know for the sake of the movie he had to be the main grusome villan, with his rank high as usual, but it was like he could destroy anyone at any time if he were'nt preoccuppied with finding the all spark! (poor jazz was at the wrong place at the wrong time, even ratchet cleared out)
he smacked prime around like prime was his little brother (literally?).

I was also rooting for bumblebee to survive and he was great. After the battle downtown started and prime showing up to save the day was spot on.

By the way, starscream sounded like Dinobot from Beast wars, dinobot is my favorite character!

so for the next movie.. I want the autobots to be stronger, because there were only two legit one on ones in the move.( Bumblebee beating down on barricade, Optimus...knifing bonecrusher, and no jazz and megatron was not legit!LOL

Hi. Welcome to the Pub! Yep, the movie was great. And Starscream's voice was done by Charlie Adler. He did the voice of the Aerialbot Silverbolt in the 80's TF cartoon and Lowlight in the 80's GiJoe cartoon. Jazz did die to easily, but I think they just threw that in there to give it more realism. You never really see any good guys die except for Jazz. I mean, you know that when Megs and Prime crashed entirely through that building, someone had to die? But if they don't show it, its not that bad to the audience. Its easy to watch a bad guy die 'cause it feels good and vengeful. The Autobots were outmatched but they always overcome, its part of being a hero. Did you stay to the end credits to see Starscream fly into space?

ooops I missed that part, I know Barracade is still alive, but starscream went for back up huh?

Yep, and Scorponok is too. During the end credits after Sam's parents get done talking, Starscream leaves earth orbit and heads into space.

It was better than I was regretting it would be.

I still don't like Megs and Screamers designs and that won't change.

I hated all of the crazy camera movement when Frenzy was on-screen.

Given that Weaving got the part, they should have had Megs say a variation of "Human beings are a disease." like instead have him say "Humans are like a disease, Prime." to get out of copyright problems.
