it's about time we got this I think it's better than G1's axe but the price on the other hand is the same price of two leader primes

Want List:Armada Skywarp, Cybertron Thunderblast, Energon Dreadwing or Mirage.

Maybe he'll re-consider before he tries to sell us a small piece of plastic for 80 bucks next time?
I'm with ya there sonray, I hope he got a 4 alarm wake up, and is gonna up his quantity and lower his selling prices by like 70.00 bucks.. he'd have a sure fire winner there instead of just 5 or 6 sitting around his house collecting dust and not making any money.. come on man.. do us all a favor, reduce thecost of that blade so that thousands of fans can buy them from you!! lets do some simple math shall we...10.00 times 1K equals???
well you get the idea, oh and shipping shouldn't be too expensive, uunless your providing your own custom and professionally printed boxes for this novelty.. other wise sell them in little plastic baggies like the Botcon merchandise..
or, just sell the damn molds to Justit toys, they'll buy it, and sell it at a cheaper price..then atleast us fans could get them..
come on.. lower the cost.. be a rebel to your greed!!! Please??

I agree. At that price, a leader class figure should be included.
No, i agree, the price is horrible... but the reason i say it's the best custom accessory is not because of this particular guys merchandise, but for the idea itself.. the idea that a sword needs to be created and sold as an after market accessory is priceless..now if some other guy comes along and makes some that are in as good a quality as those ones i found, and sold them for considerably less, then i would definitely buy one..
Another great idea would be to do the spikey twirly ball and chain thing that Barricade had during his fight with Bumblebee.. that would be a cool custom piece as well.. i just feel in looking back at the Hasbro releases, after seeing the movie, that the toys themselves are missing some weaponry.. That brings a great new discussion to the table.. were the toys under equipped?
Dude, 80 bucks?!?! so bad man... like its not an accesory for your car its for your stupid prime figure! not even worth it anymore.

yeah, i agree wholeheartedly. even with the production costs factored in, this is just too much for a simple piece of plastic. unless the seller lowers the price, i don't think this is even in the running for Custom of the Year.

I guess he closed the auction because he got no hits.. hmmmm
... price cut please!!!
I went back to the front page, and damn!!! Hasbro really needs to get on board with those swords for Prime!! Come on!! if this guy on eBay can do it, why not your company!!! release a Prime 2 Pack with a sword good for the voyager class and a sword for the Leader class.. it could be accessory packs for transformers..

yeah, if Nightwatch Prime and Redeco Ironhide are indications of Hasbro's fan-to-company relations, i doubt if some Hasbro representative would even turn an attentive ear to our clamors for his accessory.

i mean, check out MP Prime.
sure, they issued a trailer for MP OP, but how hard would it have been for them to simply copy the original G1 trailer and do a larger scale for it? istead, they give us MP-04's crappy repair bay thingy which i doubt even appeared in the G1 series.
heck they even missed making a MP Roller, and a 3rd party company had to do that honor!

and another example: MP Megatron.
fans have been clamoring for the stock/silencer combo like the G1 toy had, but did Takara ever do an official release? noooo.
again, it takes another company to fashion out these accessories for fans to complete their Masterpieces.
that's the bad thing about supercompanies. they think that their R&D/Marketing Research are the best - they don't listen to what the people who buy their products want, most of the time.

I guess it depends on what that company deems is marketable.. ofcourse there is a certain amount of risk involved if they did ddecide to produce the swords.. but that's the problem, those smaller companies can get a product sold because they jump in where the big companies tend to see as a very small market, and that's us collectors and not the masses out there..so one or 2 accessory wouldn't work..but a while additional toy line that is notheing but accessories would actually work..
I remember buying countless star wars weapons and accessorie packs as well as Gi Joe weapons and accessories for those figures.. hasbro should do the same for Transformers.. so we can mix and match and make the best robot warrior on our shelf!!

If we could group buy it and lower the price, that would be one thing. But, as it is, he wants way too much for a piece of plastic. I have to agree with Sonray here. Ridiculous.

lets all chip in and buy one, have Ryan take Pics of it, and then ship it to Just it toys with a large letter from all of us for them to produce it, in mass quantities and at a low low cost...

I like it, it looks good, but way to expensive, I know he wants to cover his costs, but I can't afford that.
But it ended anyway.
But it ended anyway.

I can do that. Im thinking of doing it anyway. I could easily make a mold and mass produce them.

Your my hero!! sign me up for one of the first batch!!!
that guy's still sellling them, his auction is closed but if you click to see his other store items, he relisted it for 79.99!! what a rip off!! if you can remold it sonray and sell it for 15.00 plus shipping for a total of 20.00, you'd have a hundred orders by the end of the day!!!
aww heck forget shipping, it'd probably fit into a little letter envelope and cost what 3 to 4 stamps?? I'd can cover that!!

Indeed. Trouble is figureing out what to make them out of. I'll take a look at his auction again, maybe he states what he makes his out of. If not, any suggestions? Obviously it would have to be something liquid that dries hard so i can pour it into the mold and churn em out.

Something else thats dodgy about this guy...it says he is a power seller, yet he only has 117 feedback. I have more than him and im not a power seller.
He also re-listed one for $20 WITHOUT shipping. Still too much. This has to be 20 WITH shipping at least to be worth while.

I think he casts them with real plastic, that's why they are so expensive plastic is pretty expensive to come by as a normal guy, you have to buy loads of it.

crap on a stick!!! why can't the industry make it easy for regular customizers to get products cheaply and at a good enough quality.. I'm sure these toy manufacturer suppliers have a surplus that toy companies just don't buy...

It's the trouble of producing it, that makes it expensive.
The more you buy the ceaper it will get, and some companies have a minimum order, so you will have to buy atleast like $1560 worth of plastic granulade so they can boder to deal with you + the costs of the machines.
That ore you use that smoove on stuff,

Don't worry. Very likely after you bid on this $20 sword, the seller will send you an invoice with a $70 shipping & handling fee.

In terms of casting material for mass production, isn't there clear resin? Is it hard to come by? Since its just on solid piece, resin should hold up just fine. Just my thoughts, even though I know very little about casting stuff.

For the record, that alone doesn't make him dodgy. Being a Power Seller isn't just about how much you sell. If I understand it's a special scheme you join if you're a regular seller, that nets you special benefits.
Here's some eBay info on it...

LOL.

I was thinking of using that myself, but my dad (who makes fibreglass fair ground rides) says it might be too brittle. Any thoughts?
