Need help! Problem with 20th Anniversary DVD Prime's legs!
So with the stock of these 20th Anniversary DVD Primes being put on the shelves with Classics I decided to buy one ( I know, bad decesion) Anywho, I was transforming him and I got to the part where you push the two gas tanks on the sides of his legs to push his legs up... and well they won't budge. Does anyone know a remedy or will I have to end up returning him and getting a new one?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not a bad decision at all... I just got mine off of Ebay. This is the prime as he should have been in 1984... awesome to behold. Also, I don't get the whole "tomato red" problem everyone else complains of, mine looks as I remember Prime looking (color scheme wise).
To your question... I had the same problem when I first got him out of the packaging..the left leg on mine went up and down fine but the right one stuck. I just really had to force it up and down a couple of times and it worked. No problems...don't be afraid your going to break him either... he's diecast.

Thanks for the tim, but I have exerted all the force I could and still nothing. I mean this guy is solid lol I guess I'll try to return them, even though I hate going down that route

Ya my left tank also gave me problems, its a kind of seesaw device so keep that in mind, if you need to just pull up the center yourself and try to get the pin out, it will give you problems but I think thats everywhere.

Push both gas tanks harder at the same time ,and pull up the bottom legs.

I don't know, it seems like one of those scarey firm yet gentle situations.
I got the first release of this guy though and his left foot keeps falling off. I goes right back on, but it is annoying

This tomato red color is supposed to be cartoon accurate and the previous Hasbro and Takara releases was a darker red more which was more color accurate to the toy.

YES, good point from Omega-1. You gotta push the lower part of the gas tanks that's being butterflied out. Good luck!
Cheers!

Maybe you've already tried this, but if you haven't,
try bending the knees a bit and straightening them out. You should also slide them in one leg at a time, as one leg may be giving more trouble.
