If they're making a toy of IDW G1 ongoing Optimus, could there be an IDW G1 ongong Megatron toy also in the works?

They would both need to be voyager size for them to work, but it would be awesome. With Megs back in RID at the moment and the inevitable return of Orion Pax on the horizon I cant see why this isnt a real possibility. Just not too sure on the targetmaster aspect

WANTED TO BUY
C-125:Shoki, C126:Getsui, C127:Yukikaze, C129:Seizan. MIB + unused stickers PM for details.

Allow me to blow it once more. Have the two toys be able to combine into a hypothetical "IDW Guiltaur" form.Mindmaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:If they're making a toy of IDW G1 ongoing Optimus, could there be an IDW G1 ongong Megatron toy also in the works?

It's most likely Roller that Optimus is wielding. Megatron, if he comes with one, will probably come with a drone ala Generations Thunderwing.

And Megatron could have detachable armor pieces with battle-scarred limbs underneath to enable one to switch him from "pristine" to "battle scarred" looks. The extra armor pieces would join together to form additional weaponry when not worn.
And Optimus could have a removable Matrix.
And Megatron could have glow-in-the-dark paint apps on his purple bands to emulate their glowing.
And both would have double-jointed knees for optimal articulation ranges.

There's also this G2 Megatron. Not spitting-image deco, or a Voyager, but I'd let it slide:

The way that part is able to spin reminds me a helluvalot of Dinobot; that's why it's cool to me.

Instead of pushing the pin in to make him drop 'bows, pull the pin out to lock the upper torso in place. I hated that mould until dropped it one day and picked it up my the pin, locking it in place. At the time everyone was comparing it to RM Optimus and that was just unfair because that one was so bad ass. Ha ha ha.
And I'd like to go on record again to say I really really don't like the new bomber design of Megatron. Now I do like the designs from the legends game for Megatron. Do that instead.

The robot mode is really nice, even if it's a bit derpy in altmode.I wouldn't mind having it myself, he's the perfect size for a computer desk! I could easily live with a remold of that.
I agree with Mr. President - Prime. The mold look cool, but in practice, he's even more loose jointed than Titanium War Within O.P. and his double - punch gimmick was...really bad. His had my favorite gun, though!
I'm sure it's perfectly simple to disable the gimmick, if you want a more posable figure. I know Peaugh did and it works wonderfully if I recall correctly.

I always felt that Classics OP and Megs were a bit to small as Voyagers. If this OP gets released I'll only get him if they bring back the Universe/Generations Ultra size class. He does look fantastic though

The TF Prime design is the magnificent love child of momma Animated and Poppa Bayverse!
And I'm perfectly okay with that.
sure there are some similarities to a bayformer like the split chest cab but thats the only
similar thing about it. its more of a Classics Generations - TF prime love child
bay formers are way too complex for that to fit. toned down bay former this is not

It looks like G1 Optimus with split windows and a lack of shoulder smokestacks. I don't know where this Prime & Bayverse nonsense is coming from.

I too jist want a solid new G1 looking Megatron. Doesn't have to be a gun, so long as his robot mode is solid and has a great looking arm cannon. Think WFC Megatron, but G1. That kind of girth, and a big enough cannon to match.
