I preordered all 4 as well... I have all the tfc's except for prime but depending on the packaging and extras I may want all four so I figured what the hell...

Bologna. Not to you, just to the report. They just had a Soundwave reissue not more than 2-3 years ago (Takara). I can't see how they could have lost that in 3 years. Especially when they know how favored Soundwave's character is. I guess we'll find out soon though.
The reissue you are talking about isn't based on the Soundwave mold, it was Soundblasters mold with a single cassette chest.

If only the Hasbro Soundwave would ALL TRU's. I still haven't seen one here in the only TRU in Wichita KS.
I know what you mean, I still haven't found Soundwave at any of the TRUs near me.

I couldnt have said it better myself...it has been just about over a year since any takara reissues...I hope these characters sell well and takara realizes there is still a market for reissues, therefore bringing about some different reissues in the future..

Knowing Takara, they'll probably added some new features to each one, like DVDs or stickers. With that said, I really liked the TFC and wished they would continue that reissuing characters that we haven't gotten yet. (Like Dinobots!)

Wonder if Hasbro will follow in suit and actually put them in regular stores instead of just being at TRU? You know how much of a pain in the afterburners it is to drive to the east side of Wichita, Kansas just to get to TRU- and even then, not find a damn thing?! It is rediculous!!!

Yes in deed, that's when I bought all of mine. I couldn't really feel comfortable spending $30 on Tracks, nostalgia and all included, the price was too high. 'Specially since the reissues are the same as the orignial G1s, not modified or spruced up or anything. But boy oh boy, did it rule that day I went to TRU and found them on clearance!

I may be able to pick up a G1 Soundwave. Hope FP gets one in. Yes, it'll be overpriced, but not being able to buy over the net seriously limits what you can do for tf's. That and MP Megs are the only ones on my want list. Roll on Soundwave!

remember that was TRU's fault, not hasbro's..so if hasbro does follow suit the only way they can be price gouged is if they are a "store exclusive" again...that store can jack up the price b/c they have no price competition...I think hasbro's best bet for reissues would be online exclusive (HasbroToyShop, TCClub) the only reissues that would sell well enough for them to mass produce(and sell at retail stores), would be the four just listed by Takara...Dagon wrote:Liege Evilmus wrote:This will work out well so long as they don't price gauge us again. $30 for a autobot car, that ISN'T vintage. Yeah, it does. It is the only one my wife knows in getting us there. The one by Townwest is now a Baby R Us (or whatever the hell it is called now). It is the closest to my entering Wichita.

I can't wait to find out.
Would be nice if Hasbro did a reissue of the slightly larger sized tapes for Buzzaws, Rumble and Frenzy, and then did Blaster and his tapes.
Would be nice.....just like Ramjet and Thrust would have been. /sigh.
quoted from other thread. If this version came with rumble and frenzy reissues i would snatch one up in a heartbeat. If it comes with buzzsaw/lazerbeak/ravage i think i would have to pass....hmmm ratbat anyone?

yeah that toys R us never seems to get anything right...I dont think they ever got them in. I never saw them and they never had a spot cleared or sticker down. Although they did finally restock the classics and titanium starscream and titanium RID prime...
i'm still bitter about getting screwed over on my PS3 pre-order from them.

I take you are a resident of Wichita or the surrounding area. I live a bit south of you in Anthony (Harper County). From what I have gathered, I am the only Transformers collector in the whole frakkin' county- except for maybe little kiddies who have yet to understand the concept. Email me at gaijin_since_1973@yahoo.com if you would like.

I'm all for these items being re-release of the TFC reissues. I didn't get the TFC Optimus but I got the TFC Megs & Soundwave. I got the original early Japanese reissue of Starscream and the Hasbro re-issue of Prime.
So if these figures are what I hope they are then I'll take Prime please!

I'm actually in Derby, just south of wichita. I'm yet to meet any other TF collecter's in the area...but I know they are out there. I say this simply because of the stores being able to identify me as such and due to their, for the most part, receptiveness to the fact.
and for stormrider. While the dinocassettes would be better than another buzzsaw/ravage/laserbeak, i never really cared for them as much as frenzy/rumble/ratbat...and the fact that they have yet to do an official frenzy/rumble reissue leaves me hoping. It would be a cheap character to produce with lineage back to season 1.
