New Trailers bringing in the mainstream audience.

Motto: "Tell those damned kids to stay off my lawn!!!"
Weapon: Big Cannon
So, for the last couple of weeks, I've been starting a new relationship with perhaps the most awesome woman to ever give me the time of day (I'm really very happy, if you can't tell.. 8) ), and haven't been following the movie news quite as much.

I knew the new trailers were out, and had watched them (they were awesome by the way) but didn't realize they were on regular television. When I got to work today, I was informed otherwise.

I'm fairly well know as a nerd for Transformers among my various co-workers. As it turns out, quite a few people have seen the new trailers.

And they like them. For the first time, I've got people who could give a rats ass about Transformers coming up and wanting to know about them.

It also seems the consensus is that Starscream transforming is the coolest part. Looks like this movie is going to be quite a huge success.

Depends on what is considered a huge success.
I know you are desperately trying to be positive on this movie to counteract every negative thing said about it but saying that this movie will be a huge success simply because some of you co workers are interested after seeing the new trailers isn't exactly a good indictation on how successful this movie will be.

Give the guy a break. You know you see his point. If ordinary non-nerds at work think it's interesting, it's a fair assessment that other non-nerds at other workplaces would enjoy it.

Judging by the scope of the movie and names attached, it shouldn't fail. We all know that.

Ahem, maybe some other people here need girlfriends...cough, cough...

And we were talking about it in lab group the other day. Everyone pretty much thinks it's gonna blow, even the people going into the CGI program. :???:

this makes no sense, what's remarkable about people who care about transformers wanting to know about them?

i believe the expression you are looking for is 'couldn't give a rat's ass', ignore all the idiot americans who've nonsensically slurred 'couldn't' into 'could'

Harsh, but a reasonably fair point.
