Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but everything I can find says they don't. Porsche is the second largest shareholder of VW and is poised for a takeover.

In any case, this whole debate started because someone thought the "buying a Porsche" scene was an insider joke to the fact that Bumblebee isn't a VW Beetle. But clearly, that's not the case.

The Camaro IS parked next to a yellow Beetle though. As it should

It could still be an inside joke. Maybe they just didn't want to be overly blatant. VW and Porsche are still usually identified together thanks to Ferdinand Porsche, who designed the original Beetle.

it's funny how easily excited most people get around here. it's just another trailer with a few extra shots here and there. it still doesn't change the fact that it's not a tf's movie. all you have is an action move about stupid looking robots that come from space and transform into things and it definately has that "bay" feel to it. barraging the audience with explosions and over the top action sequences to cover up the sub-par acting and lack of a true plot.

You **** buzzkill. You didn't even see enough of the humans there to know the acting would be "sub-par" or to know about the "lack of a true plot". If you're going to talk **** about this movie, wait until you see it first.

I am one of the few who like the designs, and when It comes to movies, I like everything to be as realistic looking as it possibly can, that's the biggest reason I dislike Spiderman 2.

No, i like the designs too, especially prime. I dont see what all the fuss is about with the lips as i think they look kinda cool, and i love the flames.

I will give kimmer props for sticking to his convictions. Most people that dont like one thing or another are slowing converting, some still dislike certain aspects but they are not completely writing this movie off like he is though.

In the long run I feel it may be his loss and not ours though. And I hope this is just the first of many, many movies.

However, he's already made it clear he thinks the movie is poopy and that he doesn't like it. We got it, in this thread, a couple of times.
