Nice little haul from Walmart today :-)

Well, I decided to venture into the world of kitbashing today. While at Walmart, I was checking out their discount aisle and low and behold, they had a Metroplex with bonus Clocker for a grand total of $10.00!

To be honest, I have no idea what I want to repaint them into, but it will be a fun (and cheap) learning experience for myself.

Plus, I got an Attacktix Starter Set that is originally $11.00 for only $4.00.

This is another learning experience for me as these are my first Attacktix figures. So hopefully I'll learn how to play descent enough to go a few rounds at Botcon this year. :D

I hate you. :-P

I want a second Metroplex just because I think two of them would look cool standing next to eachother, guarding a door or something.

WOW my Walmart had Metroplex without the bonus for $21, but I already had one.

I did pick up three alternators I hadn't before for $11 each, and bought some extra Alternator Meisters to sell on ebay. I am getting about $30 each form them.

As for repainting Cybertron Metroplex as Metrotitan and giving him a little orange mini-con friend?

Hmm...I think I'm going to try repainting Metroplex into Cybertron Devastator and Clocker into Pre-Beast Wars Nitrostreak from Botcon or Pre-Beast Wars Shadow Panther.

He is a midget clone of Metroplex who turns into a Micromaster City and is a Decepticon, rather than an Autobot.

Midget? I thougth they were the same size?

I think it would be cool to try and Bash him into an Omega Supreme looking fella. Just a thought though.

EDIT: If your going to do the MetroTitan thing, you should grab a scout class scattorshot. paint him even more blue with some black highlights and you got yourself metrotank.

The Devastator color scheme does look good, had someone photoshop this ages ago:

I like the look, but it needs more green and purple. Way too much white.

I agree, it isn't 100% how I would have done it, but it does gives an impression of the potential at least.

Urgh... Metroplex is one of the weakest designs in the entire Cybetron line. Frankly Clocker is a better tf than Metroplex is.

I agree, but considering I only really paid $3.00 for Metroplex, and $7.00 for Clocker, I couldn't pass on it.

Your thinking of Brakedown. Clocker is the Convertible, arguably much better, although some take issue with his colors.

I love my Metroplex. I wasn't dissappointed.

OH.

I have swerve, the gun annoys me, and after something like the third or forth transformation one of the tabs that keep the front stable in car mode broke off, so the front's all floppy in alt mode, wich annoys me some.

I don't like the gun because the handle(s) arn't centered like a normal gun. Just bugs me.
