On keeping the original boxes...

As a collector, do you keep ALL the original boxes your figures came in?

Personally, I only keep the MP, Bin/Alt, and reissues. How about everyone else?

I've kept all the boxes to the movie figures I've gotten lately. I opened them with a pocket knife, verrrry carefuly, as not to damage them anymore than I had to. To bad I threw away my Beast Wars boxes

These days I keep the boxes for anything above Deluxe class - just on the off-chance that I'll sell them again.

I just keep the boxes for my masterpiece class figures, convention exclusives, and also for the busts I own.

i keep my leader-class and above boxes on storage on the off-chance...

but voyagers, i'm putting on hold, as i might just cut away their back parts and throw away the remaining box. deluxes - i'm definitely keeping their cards but not the plastic bubble. collecting card backs have been a hobby unto itself for me.

I open them very carefully and keep em all...unfortunately. It's a sickness I'm afraid.

Even as a kid I tried to do this. Maybe it'd be better if I just kept the back cards. With the plastic bubbles they're very bulky.

But when I'm buying second hand, I don't care if there's a box or not. I probably prefer not, cause you save on shipping and storage.

I keep them. The box art is there for a reason.
It looks good, most of the time.

I keep all my boxes, simply because i know how valueable they can be in future.

Well, they sure take alot of space in my room, but whatever ... i keep the most of the Basic / Deluxe cards in my closet.

I've tried keeping the whole box since I started recollecting back in July, but space definitely became an issue.

So I really just started keeping the cards while tossing the plastic fronts into the recycle bin; I don't plan on reselling my figures, so who needs all the packaging?

I've also cut out and kept only the back of the packages for my bigger Cybertron figures and will probably do the same for Movie Voyager boxes(though I intend to keep the leader class boxes intact). I had some mixed feelings about this, but as long as I have the character's bio and other pertinent info(plus the box art on the front), I'm good without additional plastic lying around for no good reason.

I keep the boxes in case I have to put my figures in storage. Some boxes, like the MP boxes are too nice to even put away that I put them on display.
I even keep the cards of the deluxes and punched holes in them so I can put them in a binder.

I might throw my movie toy boxes away
or keep one of each type
theyre taking up too much room.
or I'll take the cards and keep one box with bubbles as examples
or just throw all the boxes away

Ahh! Why punch holes in them? If your gonna go through the trouble of saving them, why not keep them as nice as you can?
I pick up these nice binder pages for comics sometimes
and they would be great for card backs, and you wouldn't have
to make any unnecessary extra holes in them.

Weapon: Air Rifle
I buy all the figures from a line, but the boxes in large black sacks, and put them in a cool dry place- the attic. They should be preserved nicely up there.

But I do keep alt, MP and reissue boxes in my room, cos they're so darn pretty.
