For $33 a set, this is a no brainer.

This is looking really good. Definitely improves the figure by alot. Too bad Has/Tak still haven't learned how to create proper hands and feet for a combiner yet.

I think Hasbro did a decent job on the hands and feet - they're a massive, and I say MASSIVE, improvement over any previous attempts. They could just be a bit better.

But not yet improved to where a 3rd Party doesn't have to make an add on Kit. Has anybody heard if they will be making a white set?

These things have me on the edge buying into CW .
Thing is though i don't need these , it's the fact they are available in UK STORES! it's been years since i found any Generations in the uk which i will blame for my lack of interest in the classics line , But here were are and once again i can feel the buzz for the hunt and i reeally want to get on it
Only this is a step to far back i mean this is were it all began and i'm not sure i want to play this game .
Buying Deluxe figures £15? £25? which i don't think are worth it and then what ever £££ this upgrade will cost .
But there on my door step and i would like some new stuff to mess with as i dont mess with my MP or 3rdp combiners .
These things worth it or what ???

That's the thing. While the PE upgrade is nice to have, I don't think it's necessary. I would have been fine with the existing hands and feet.

Dont pass on these mate, they are very much worth it, I've got all the Aerialbots, Powerglide and Bombshell and dont regret a thing, they are well made and have very satisfying transformations, the only thing that lets the set down are the hands and feet, dont get me wrong there OK and they function perfectly but these PE upgrades look so much better.

and lets compare hasbros latest attempts:
- energons clear plactic "lookit us, none of us are hands"
- FOC brutici karate chop action! hands.
- now, CW that actually resemble hands and feet.

I guess if you look at it by past examples. Then I can agree. Lol. Leaps and bounds since Energon.

This is why I'm very much on the fence about the upgrades. I like the Hasbro hand/foot designs. I think they are clever. The Energon Superion needed a lot of help, but CW is really great.
Normally, I'd be all over these.

*sigh* For me the real question is do I invest in something meant to enhance what will forever be a less than complete G1 Superion for $40.00 or wait for a 3rd to produce an entire set of figures for 10x the price?
I do like Perfect Effect and I do like most of what I've seen through the CW Aerialbots with a few exceptions . . .

Must admit, That's a much lower price than I speculated a exspensive company like PE would charge for something like this. Guessing PE was able to charge a much lower price due to them making more units at the assrmbly factory. PE is probably making more hoping this will be a big sell out in demand kit.

Also think the current CW Superion and CW Menasor gestalts fist and hands were made beyond well. Think this is HasTak's best work and effort.
Also don't think any 3rd party replacements CW Gestalts fist and feet are needed.
If I buy any 3rd party things for the CW Combiners. It will be a replacement Ultra scale Motormaster. toy that looks like the 1985 toy and is a one piece truck that transforms into a robot. Just think the Hasbro CW Motormaster is terrible and ruins the look of the CW Menasor gestalt.
Think the CW Menasor Four limbs bots are perfect toys and I'd rate them better in sculpt, scale and durabilty than the FP Stunticons limbs bots.

i uhh.. didnt plan to start any anti-PE rederick.
for the record, i did say i think the PE kit looks great, and i do plan to get it. i was just trying to defend hasbros attempt is all, cause their effort this time around was pretty good. and failing an add-on kit, i could totally live with hasbros.

I decided to stay well clear of CW, just couldnt bring my self to to buy them today, i watched a few reviews and went on my hunt and came back empty handed.
Too basic and too late had this been a year ago i might have bit.
I will say though had i still been a classics guy or a hasbro only guy then this is as good as its gonna get for a long time and i would all over these like a rash.
So instead off buying these 5, i topped up my 2 man decepticon MP crew with asia skywarp an extra £60
but i felt like treating myself
and a massive 10
to only 2
in my MP i had to do it

Agreed, Hasbro did a fine job with the hands and feet.
I just prefer the PE set is all.

Still surprised at how low the 3rd party price is for this set. Think it's a great deal and decent product if someone is interested in this.

No love for the Hasbro feet/hands here. Having them in hand I must say that they are pure crap. They are basically midget feet with fingers attached to them. Hasbro really cheaped out by not molding the hands and feet as separate parts. They could have made boots instead of tiny feet to make the legs taller and help ease the monkey arms appearance. And who wants a hand that has a foot as a knuckle guard ? The four fingers aren't even individually articulated. From above it looks like a giant crab claw. Maybe they are better than FOC Bruticus karate chop hand, but they still suck. I could see kids thinking Hasbro's hands are cool. But when it comes to anyone who owns 3rd party combiners, I would think they would have higher standards and not praise the crappy Hasbro hands like if they were a gift from the gods. Of course this is just my opinion here.
Here is Menasor's "hand" next to what a real combiner hand should look like. (Hercules)

I have no problem dropping 32 bucks to make an $80 dollar figure look less like a kids toy and more life like and awesome.

Over at TFW a forum member has shared a pic of CW Superion next to MT Green Giant. Both are the same gestalt height. This is good enough for me. Don't need the PE CW kits That will make my CW combiners taller than my MT Green Giant and my FP Menasor.

I agree with X, but not just on the fists i mean on the whole combiner theres no way i can settle for these after buying 3rdp combiners.
