Oded would make a slamming prince just give him a Clean shave. I can see the movie turning into Dragons Lair where you see the possible choices he makes and reversing time when he F's up.

No, I don't see them using that effect a lot, maybe once toward the end.
I imagine they'll just use a lot of bullet time.

This would be a great film for Rodriguez. His nack for paying strict attention to detail would be an asset for the game's loop-in-time trilogy.

TO ENTERTAIN.

I've got to say, I like Michael Bay. The Rock, Armegeddon, and the first Bad Boys are awesome action movies.

Well, I can say 300 is better than Sparticus for a few reasons. The art style was a perfect homage to the comic, as a comic movie it was awesome.
However, Sparticus is an entirely different beast. The two really shouldn't be compared. It was a work within itself, while 300 was a nice step is showing that you don't have to give rubber suits nipples to make a good comic movie.
Look at the old movies, like the Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood, or the Prince of Arabia. THose are damned good movies, while they don't use mind blowing graphics to propel the story, they use actors who know their trade to make the story awesome.
Bad Boys, Armageddon, The Rock were perfect examples of this, but with Bayized special effects. The scripts were run of the mill, however the actors made the movies friggin' awesome. Who doesn't love seeing Steve Buscemi going insane in space and accidentally firing a mini-gun? But, if those roles were filled with anyone else? The movies would suck.
Now, somewhere along the line, well not somewhere it was after Armageddon when he started Pearl Harbor, that Michael Bay must have decided that "special effects are better than good actors, people want special effects and thats it." So he upped the special effects, making them cut funds from other areas, hence Ben Affleck.
Bad Boys 2 seemed to be more about the cars and explosions than any real story, I remember something about a car chase, a crapload of explosions, and then something about a pool, other than that don't know what the hell the movie was about.
Michael Bay did do good films. But seemingly those times are over, Transformers will let us know if thats true or not.

Most recently, I watched The Great Escape for the first time and my jaw dropped.
I understand why Steve McQueen is the King of Cool.

Are we fighting amongst ourselves again?
Sparticus and 300 were two different films that shouldn't be compared, really. I didn't think 300 was very good, but there you go.
Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Black Hawk Down, Predator (I guess) are all good action films.
I personally don't think Michael Bay is a very good director. I enjoyed The Rock when I was younger (I haven't seen it in many years) but I never saw the merits of Armageddon, Pearl Harbour (in my view, one of the worst films I've ever seen) and Bad Boys. I didn't find them entertaining personally. His films aren't really very engaging, as far as I'm concerned.
I think my opinions have been concisely expressed here.

Please. People who enjoy Bay films? They're just not as sophisitcated as people who enjoy Transformers.

This happens to me quite a lot. I often find myself regarding a glove that hath been hurled to the floor.

Dude, get over the Bay Hating. He's done good movies and bad. And you haven't even seen anything from this! It's easyto change everything from Transformers, it's probably very difficult to change Prince of Persia.
Especially since they're doing Sands of Time, which is still one of my all-time favorite games ev4r.
I wholeheartedly agree.

Matter of opinion, really. I have seen Pearl Harbor and thought it pure drivel, though not quite as bad as Ron Maxwell's Gods and Generals for sheer boredom factor - and I liked the book. But hey, even Lucas can have his bad days - remember Howard the Duck?
Also, to get back on track a little, don't video game adaptions usually flop at the box office? I don't remember one that's been done very well.
