Under the banner of Universe, we're bound to get some repaints. Its just inevitable. I just hope they are good repaints.

I don't recall hearing any announcement that Classics was ALL original molds, and they did announce that the upcoming Universe would be a mix of new molds and redecos. I have no problem with that if it's appropriate redecos. Some of the Universe line redecoes from the past were wonderful, like the redeco of RiD Prowl in the colors of Generation 1 Red Alert.

I really hope that isn't the case because yet again the universe line would end up at big lots because people are so turned off by what they did. But if they take some of the unrelease titanium protypes which fit idea of this line perfectly and mix them in then I could see that working. But who knows what hasbro has planed we have a whole year and three months to wait and see what they do because they will be launching in october 08. So I'm sure we will see a whole lot more at next yr botcon and tokyo toy show as well as other place along way. Right now all we can do is guess what they have planed for us.

Yup. We'll just have to sit back and wait for it. Hopefully it won't be too long before we start seeing images and prototypes of what they have in mind for the line.

I'll bump it for information sakes. Questions about this are still popping up apparently.

I'll bump it one more time, since people still ask questions about the status of some of these lines, specially Classics.

Hope you don;t mind. And if a mod thinks this should be stickied, please do.

It's a great time to put cash aside and be ready, instead of maxing out your credit cards or panicing when they are out in a few locals and buying them off of ebay for over inflated prices.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

Overcracker wrote:I'm not happy they are gone. they were just beginning to be good figures. but the distribution killed them. They were so difficult to find, that of course Hasbro got very low sales numbers. (They weren't there to be bought). But they also had some with flaws, like GI Joe Megatron. He'd fall apart if you looked at him hard.

Yet there were other figures that were really good Like WWI Thundercracker/Starscream and Rodimus Prime. I would have loved to have seen a Titanium Cyclonus. and that Prototype Titanium Shockwave was awesome. That's why i hope we'll see some of those unreleased designs in the new Universe Line.

The one thing I'd really be all over, are seeker repaints of the Cybertron Voyager Starscream mould for th Universe line. If they can't gives classics Seekers, give us WWI inspired Seekers.

That Shockwave was prett awesome. They missed producing a "must have" piece.

Still nothing on the release of the toys, however there own press release states:

# Jazz - voiced by Phil LaMarr (unknown vehicle)
# 2x Dinobots - not named, although Swoop and Slag (probably called Triceradon) would be the most likely.
# Blurr - voiced by John Moschitta (unknown vehicle). John was the original voice of Blurr and will make a guest appearance.
# Ultra Magnus - voiced by Jeff Bennett (unknown vehicle). Jeff is said to do a good Robert Stack (G1 Ultra Magnus) style voice.
# Arcee - possibly voiced by Susan Blu (unknown vehicle)
# Junkion - voiced by Weird Al Yankovic (dump truck). The name is currently unconfirmed, although it has been reported as simply Junkion. David Kaye believed the form of the Transformer was a dump truck, which would fit the name.

I'm looking forward to a Green Lantern Style Jazz, and the Weird Al Junkion should be totally hilarious..

We have yet to see a Prototype for Megatron. they just put up the first color image of the design. He looks really cool. I curious what his alt mode is, and what the figure will look like.
Here we go:
# Two 13 part series have currently been recorded. The first series starts with a 3 part mini-movie, followed by 13 episodes. The second series is an additional 13 episodes.
# Hasbro / Cartoon network have not ruled out an additional 2 series.
# The show is due in December 2007 / January 2008
# The show was moved to the US as Hasbro no-longer like the results of dubbing the show into English.

Probably, we'll see the Cartoon in December, but the toys, I'm not sure. We still haven't seen a Prototype of Megatron, and they just put up the first color image art of him. So who knows how far along the figure development they are.

Although if they do get released earlier than previously said, I'll be happy. I can't wait to see a Prototype for Blitzwing, based on the art we've seen.
