A few years ago, I would post despondently about news of the death of the beloved encore reissue line. My sadness grew as each month passed without a new encore. I was sated for a time when celebrated 2010 with the Predaking, Primus, and unicron ressiues, but I needed something else. I needed more encores and now Takara has made this fans dream come true with three new encores. Devestator was something I always wanted as a child, but just missed him in stores as I started getting transformers for Christmas a year after he was sold out of stores in 1987 and 1988. I remember seeing a gift set of him when I was 7 in 1987 at a CVS, believe it or not. I wanted it so bad, but my mom did not have the money. That was the last tie I saw devestator as a child. I can now fulfill that dream by buying two devestator encore reissues.

I anyone else this excited about the return of ENCORE? Please share your childhood stories and how encore enabled you to finally fulfill them.

Not necessarily Encore but Takara's previous re-issues have allowed me to complete several of htf figures.

Encore as a whole, well for that is, a step above good but a bit below best. Maybe it's the plastics used or the seeming lack of improvements that was present in the TFC series. Remember Megs having his energon morning star or Convoy's energon axe? or Starscream's extra Convoy fist and Megatron gun?

Paint app wise, there were only a few that got extra anime optic upgrades(Meister, Trailbreaker but Convoy didn't)

I could go on and on but Encore is still the best option we got than paying for inflated KO or 2nd hand ebay prices.

Yes I am exicited for Encore Devy too, one of the toys that I always wanted to own but never had a chance to.

For my childhood, it was the recent released 2010 Predaking, used to have Tantrum when I was younger(given to me by my aunt), I kinda misplaced it so when predaking came out again(missed the 1st release) I just had to go get it for the memories.

Devastator is cool.

I am pretty tired of Encore doing these "safe" reissues instead of getting into territory that has been ignored in the re-issue world.

any official g1 reissue is a good thing. a little more variety would be nice though

Tje never reissued Devestator int he old line, so it's nice that they are now. Of course it doesn't feel like Devy's been gone since the KO market has flooded us with Devestators of varying quality and size for a while now.

I hope TT does a Grandus. That to complete their long abandoned Battlestars re-issue (remember Star Convoy? They even re-issued Six liner, so why not the fat lunchbox and his skinny bro Skygarry?. That it would be a longshot and all ( as CP mentioned) try something new and try the "unsafe" molds.

Heck, even in the safe category, they still are holding out on us via the Dinobots and Wheeljack.

aside from those not much else come to mind for me that hasnt already been 'mass' reissued or KO-ed in high quality that is missing from my season 1-2 G1 collection. So given those 2 I leave the requests up to the gallery, either way glad encore continues, heres hoping for more interesting releases in 2012! more Diaclone repaint/ehobby releases maybe? Police Sunstreaker would be DA BOMB, and with that I just ruined this post entirely...
