Just got my Revoltech magnus today. GREAT FIGURE! But while I was fiddling with him one of the post on the thighs revolver joint broke off inside the waist. (Man was I pissed). Well thanks to my kitbash parades I got the stub out and put the white revolvers in. Which leads me to my Questions.
Why does Magnus come with more joints?
Why are some of them Double jointed? (Obviously for more articulation, but why? the single revolvers that he come with allow for the best poses in a TF figure ever.)
And why White and not black like the existing joints?
Can the revolver joints be purchased seperatly? Or will I have to cast them?
And Finally, why doesn't Prime come with extra joints?
If any one can help me with the answers, thanks a bunch.

Magnus comes with the extra joints both as an alternitive to the black joints, which some may feel don't match his white paint job so good, and for added knee articulation.
Take a look at this series of photos from my recent Revoltech Ultra Magnus Photo Gallery
Maximum knee articulation with regular revolver joint:

Swap regular joint for double revolver joint:

Maximum knee articulation with double revolver joint:

Prime does not come with extra joints these joints are specific to Magnus.
As far as I know you cant buy revolver joints seperatly. It would be great if you could, they would be fantastic for kitbashing.
Hope that answers your questions.

The stands come with some of the other Revoltech figures, that stand came with Patlabor Imgram 1.

I know this doesn't belong here, but I thought others may like to know. Beings I broke one of magnus' original black joints only minuetes after opening him,I started casting some of the revolver joints. They are a pain in the arse to get apart, but none the less. I will post the progress here if any one is interested.
