Okay so I just came back from watching the movie..

My girl loved it, I loved it.. and I am proud of how it turned out..


So here we have a different continuity then the original.. No surprises there.. this is Bayformer's universe.. and not the original.. so..where are we?

1. the Original Transformers were lead by a council.. the "Primes"

2. the Primes sought sources of Energon ( a specific type of radiation that all transformers need to stay young and live..) this is assumed by Jetfire's Admission that without Energon, Cybertronians would grow old and rust and fall apart and eventually die..

3. the Prime's found out that the Fallen had plans to convert Earth's Sun into Energon.. and apparently landed on earth and Battled the Fallen for control of the conversion machine..which could only be activated by a Key.. the Autobot matrix of leadership.

4. the Primes took the matrix, and fused themselves into a Tomb by subverting the Space Bridge.. and thus demolished the fallen's plan..

5. the Fallen had been searching for the Matrix, but to no avail..

6. the Last Prime, Optimus is A DESCENDANT OF the prime's..(not sure what the significance is of this..)

7. The Allspark Cube is sent to Earth during the civil war on cybertron.. thousands of years later it is found and placed in the Hoover dam..sector 7 is formed..

8. (in order for the timeline to work well, the Allspark must have been cast from Cybertron around the time after the Fallen's plans were subverted by the original council of Primes.. Megatron being ordered by the fallen, to war on Cybertron for the Allspark, which had the info on the key, a map to the other Prime's tomb..and the Matrix (this explains why Sam knows the location and what to do)

this brings us full circle to the war on earth, and why they fanned out across the galaxy in search of the Cube to begin with..(not realizing the perfect spot to hide it was under the fallen's nose..the fallen remained in hiding because of his fear of Optimus.. because as he said (only a Prime could kill him) Once he felt Prime was dead, he quickly made for Earth to claim his prize..

I find it interesting that Sam's Great Grandfather had also gotten the plans and the map info, but only to the Allspark..

I also Find it interesting how the ship on the Moon surrounding Saturn resembled the Ship in Beast Wars.. especially the protoform pods..that was a nice touch..

Devastator.. he was a lackluster villain.. impressive at first.. but then no personality..which really made him worthless to me..( I kinda think he was just created for one purpose.. to remove the pyramid around the Sun destroying machine..

the Twins were annoying.. and the Obama secretary of defense was an idiot.. (true to real life I suppose, plus the subtle reference to Bay's distrust of Obama's Make peace not war strategy with those you can not negotiate with.. that was evident.. they mentioned his name in the movie.. and not the President.) It is no secret the majority of the military dislikes the current president..) I wonder if the racial stereotype isn't part of Bay's dissing the Policy of appeasement our president currently employs..see Iran Protesters..


anyhow, so basically the Movie rocked, the storyline kinda makes more sense now..

allspark is power and knowledge.. the Matrix is a power source unlike any, the fallen was once a good guy (council of Primes and became the first decepticon)

and the Autobots didn't come until long after the Fallen and the Original Bots had died off..

not sure what happened in the interim.. between the Matrix being lost, and the cube being shot off Cybertron..

anyone care to help me understand the timeline of events.. I'd sure appreciate it..

if this is real continuity... I mean come on!!! are you kidding me with this??

You seem to be missing a LOT of stuff from the comics and novels.
