I think Overlord would be enough alone to give a hard battle to the dinobots.

Agreed, so what would be really interesting is pitting Scorponok and Overlord in a fight. Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about Overlord, but if he can divide himself into two vehicle modes (something like an oversized Duocon), that could give him an advantage. Plus, the Powermaster thing would give him greater endurance. It's hard for me to say, though, since I'm not sure who has a greater firepower. I seem to recall that Overlord isn't supposed to be nearly as smart, but I could be off on this. Either of these factors could be instrumental in determining the outcome.

Right now I'll step back here and leave the issue to more knowledgable and qualified persons.

In the European tech specs, Overlord is much less powerful. The Dinobots should select that version!

Snarl's strength increases tenfold with a full charge of solar power. That might enable him to take out both Decepticons, if he can catch them. Unfortunately, Overlord has a jet mode and Scorponok is pretty massive.

Scorponok is a Headmaster, which makes him faster, more intelligent and more skillful. Overlord gets a power boost from two Powermaster partners (not quite sure how but them's the rules).

Scorponok has multiple weapons including an anti-gravity gun that would levitate the Dinobots. That would make them easy to defeat.

If the Dinobots want to win, they should go for a quick ambush at maximum power. Any hesitation would leave them vulnerable to a massive counter attack.

I'm not sure that the Dinobots could achieve such an ambush. Both Decepticons have good sensors that could detect the Dinobots well in advance. I think that the Dinobots need some kind of big distraction.
