Check out the "Extensive Mods and Scratchbuilds" forum. Somebody made an awesome MP Ultra Magnus, using the white twin of Prime, and adding a Magnus trailer/armor that is quite accurate to G1.

To address possible attachment problems with regards to the "Classics Trailer", Hasbro must make some modifications or add some hard plastic enhancements attachable to either the Classics Truck rear or underneath the Trailer...What do you think? :APPLAUSE:

Hasbro wouldn't just make a trailer, they would make a whole new prime, or re-release clasics Prime with the trailer.

Would I like to see a trailer for Classic Prime - yes.

Have I been conditioned to expect no trailer for Optimus Prime toys - yes.

Do I think it is likely for hasbro to release an accessory for a year old figure in a discontinued line - not a chance.

Well, it's been a little while since I threw my 2 cents into a trailer thread... so I might as well give this one a go.

Hasbro's never going to produce a trailer for Classics Prime, even if we begged, petitioned, or performed certain "favours" for Hasbro execs.

That being said, though... there is a certain nostalgic charm in having OP haul a trailer, I haven't had one for my G1 prime for ages, now... but I rediscovered the joy when I bought God Ginrai and put him in vehicle mode... somehow it just felt right. I'd love to see a Classics trailer... maybe Takara will do one during their run of classics.

Right. Let's hope Takara would come up with some accessories for Classics Prime. Historically, Takara always makes better TF versions than Hasbro itself...

Classics Prime was originally scheduled to be released in two size classes, one with (voyager) and one without a trailer (deluxe) but at the last minute the trailer was scrapped and voyager prime was released on its own.

Back when the classics were first announced there was a thread that had a list of what was being released in the classics line and had prototype pics of and unpainted astrotrain. I think some of the older board members will remember. Anyway it stated two entries for prime in its different size classes, and the voyager version clearly stated it would be released with a trailer.

I think what may have happened is that as a cost cutting measure they left out the trailer on the voyager and charged the same price and bundled the deluxe into a 2pack with the deluxe megatron that was announced.

I believe there is a trailer attachment site on prime near the feet, if you check the pic below:

That's easy. Just include a sort of plastic frame that clamps on both legs of Prime in truck mode. With a peg on top of the frame to tow the trailer.

I think Classics Optimus Prime was originally intended to have a trailer because if you look at him in alternate mode, you can see some pegs right where a trailer could hook on.

But Hasbro shouldn't have abandoned the idea and instead thought of ways to reduce production costs of a Trailer. They should've thought about the satisfaction of its customers---- US!! :-x

Dear god, some of you really like to bitch, don't you? Hasbro produces probably the most consistantly great TF line in years, but you're still whining that Prime didn't have a trailer. Boo hoo hoo. Such a trailer would probably have douibled the price of the figure, and (based on every Prime trailer since Laser Rod Prime) not been at all worth it. Let it go. They didn't make one, they aren't going to now. That doesn't mean they don't care about what their customers want, it means they're not willing to throw money away on a product only some people would want.
