SHOWDOWN!! WHO IS SUPERIOR? UNICRON vs PRIMUS

Weapon: Laser Scalpel
let's hear your opinions which TOY is the master of the other?

I vote Unicron,
Primus is more refined in looks, but is more plain,
Unicron was the real risk taker an ambitious project with lots of fantasy type gimmicks.

love his Saturn Ring that holds minicons, the "mouth" in planet mode, his articulate fingers that can crush and hold Arcee like King Kong And also flip you the bird. 8)

Primus has planet keys, who cares... zzzzz

Primus has bigger hands that are also very articulate, and he flipped my wife the bird the first night I got him.

He also has the multple cities on him, even with a crater from a metor strike. The buildings and spires are very detailed and make him cool to look at from almost any angle, where unicron really only looks good if viewing from the front.

He also has a battle station mode, and triple changers are always awesome.

I gotta vote Primus.

Primus is a superior toy, but Unicron has the whole movie nostalgia thing going for him, even though he's the Armada version and not G1.

Primus is stock full of little details. Anywhere you look you see paneling vents, cityscapes etc..

Primus has Minicon Ports, has an Omega Lock. Looks awesome holding Metroplex's huge saw. Stands Well in many Poses, and doesn't loose planet halves in transformation.

I vote Primus.

Primus FTW.

Both toys have great robot modes, but Primus is a true planet in his alt mode; Unicron looks like a pumpkin that someone dropped onto a hard floor, half caved in.

Points to Uni for his sheer size, tho, but Primus takes the banner here IMHO.

Unicron for a few reasons:

1. He has a legacy behind him. It's not a technical reason, but sometimes love for a character or concept can make a figure more awsome than it already is. Primus doesn't have that lineage and barring the Ultimate TF guide had never previously transformed.

2. I feel Unicron has better feet, and slightly better articulation. They're bigger and more stable than Primus's, and the simple addition of rotating wrists opens up a wider variety of possible poses.

3. He's bigger, in both height and weight, and the bulky look helps give off more of a "he's larger than life" feeling.

That being said, Primus is cool, has a more detailed and better planet mode, but just doesn't give the same overall effect that Unicron does.

Unicron.

Primus' building are very nice, but the angles are wrong. The mini-con ports at the top really only fit one minicon since they're so close together. His battle station mode is stupid because... well, he's a PLANET. A "battle station mode" (which is really just him in mid-transformation) just seems like a cheap attempt to give him another mode he doesn't actually have or need. His feet are also less stable than Unicron's so he can't be put into as many dynamic poses. And, thanks to everything sticking out of him, he takes up more room in robot mode than Unicron, and in the little space I have that's a drawback.

Meanwhile Unicron has two awsome color schemes to choose from. The best mini-con in the line, I think. The first REAL Unicron figure made, thusly rounding off a set with Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus. He has a few more effective gimmicks than Primus. And his hands are slightly better at holding stuff, IMHO.

i vote Primus.

Unicron was good, if your a fan of G1 and care about TF legacies and stuff, but as far as the toy goes, Primus (though he's a tad bit shorter) far outshines Unicron, as he's more sturdy and well proportioned, not to mention more symmetric. he doesn't have all those extra parts (the halo, chest parts, etc) that would easily get broken or lost on Unicron.

but to its credit, Unicron looks like he's always ready to waste some poor sob...

Unicron.

Primus is easier (by a contry mile) to transform, and dosnt lose half his planet mode, but Unicron is a lot more fun to play with in robot mode, actully does something in alt mode, and frankly looks cooler (especilly in robot mode).

I was really impressed when I got Unicron, I was really underwhelmed when I got Primus.

Also, only unicron can really pull off the devil horns and the midle finger! :P

Me too. You can have a discussion and everyone put forth valid points, without everyone acting like children and taking pot-shots at each other.

Oh, yeah, and I'm right, and you are wrong because you are a doodie head :P

If were just talking toys then I have to say it is a tie between unicron and primus they are both great toys. But if were talking the whole history of the character then unicron because he was a complete bad ass during the g1 era anyone who can reformat damaged decepticon at will is going to kick all sorts of ass on anyone who went up against him
