So, I bought the Shout Factory rerelease of Seasons 3+4 despite owning the Rhino version...

I bought it for no other reason than to see if they took out that announcement for Optimus’ return at the end of Dark Awakening.

They did.

Are there any other differences? I don't own season 3 on DVD, I always planned on buying the Matrix set, but I have yet to do it. I should, I have been getting a hankering for watching the G1 cartoon again, it's been years since I've seen it.

I only checked that at the time. They also got rid of the stupid animated menus from the Rhino releases.
