Star Trek!

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

no i dont mean Majal Barrett either!

You mean like have the Star Trek Enterprise Transform into the real life Enterprise? Kinda hard to transform a sci-fi space craft into a Navy Flight Carrior I would think.

I think he ment that the Enterprise would transform into a character called "the Enterprise".....that the ships would have a robot mode.

The Enterprise would have a robot mode that does not resemble any knowen Star Trek character. The would just be the ships with Robot modes. The may be alive or may just be ships that are piloted by humans but the ships wouldnt look like any of the human [or what ever] characters.

His/Her idea would be different then the Star Wars TF's that become knowen characters like Darth Vader or Luke.

First... I'd rather they Transform in Transformers. Not Star Trek characters, and definatly not generic robots.

Second, thoughs aren't the smilies I put in my post so...

Looks like some of the Smilies from the box on the right aren't being added correctly because none of the abouve should be the same.

well having them as actual TFs you've first got to come up with a good crossover story, i make not like the SWTFs transforming into SW characters, but at least there are less continunity issues to worry about. By having them as generic robots, we get (preferably sentient) robots, that arnt Star Trek characters without a complex storyline!

F.Y.I. for all that dont know, i'm a guy!

That makes them more complex not less.

The Enterprise flys into a new galaxy and descovers a new planet, Cybertron. The ship is scaned by Optimus Prime and he transforms into a copy of there ship. What's complex about that?

For what you're saying you first have to come up with a reason why their ships would Transform in the first place. If they're not actully Transformers and just the ships there is no reason for them to Transform.

Yes, he has glitch mites in his database again! :P

It might be interesting as a toy but definitely something I'd never want to see in a show or movie, remember the joystick on the enterprise in Insurrection! that's as close to it being a toy as it should ever get, a ship that advanced would have auxiliary controls even the original kirk enterprise had that.

show or movie? i think thats way beyond what we were thinking about, although a comic woundnt go amiss!

i'm actually tryin to think up a few design ideas for some ship bashes, and havin the enterprise d as a 2 part combiner isnt such a bad idea!

The saucer section could be a great shield if nobody has already thought up that idea.

D'oh! Sorry, I had not really been following the thread from beginning to end so it was either a shield or perhaps a boogie board ? :-P

or the saucer section could split in half, pulled apart to flip the head up. The engineering section could flip down and split in half for the legs with the warp nacelles as the arms.

which enterprise? i'm still working on the D, in which there is surprisingly something to work with, the saucer section is just proving awkward!

There's other ships too though. I'd kinda like to see a transforming Cube. Unicron and Primus were spheres, so those are already out, I wanna see a cube.

as stupid as it sounds a borg cube is actually an awkward transformation to figure out! 1 that has stumped me is the romulan d'endrix class warbird!

EDIT: i've had a eureka moment, hopefully soon you'll be seeing 1 of these b'rel class bird of prey as a TF!
