It's interesting how this figure strikes a cord with fans' feelings towards iGears Gears.

To be honest i would sooner have mini bots updated to deluxe or voyager anyway since i'm not a G1 lover in the way of wanting these character the same scale as the 80's . i would like to see some one put a twist on Igears and make them all deluxe after all it didn't hurt Warpath , i would say Xtransbots Powerglide but i hated that figure and the fact it was a G1 transformation i sold it a month after getting it. .

Good point. Slightly off topic - I do like Xtransbot Powerglides transformation, but the final production was underpar.

I wonder if SXS have knocked this on the head?

Anyone heard if they are still going to put this fella out as he would make a more fitting addition scale wise to the current Deluxe/Voyager figure we have come to know and love, not some silly sized mini-bot from yesteryear!

This figure has been listed as a June release since preorders came up. So far, no indication that the release date will be pushed back.

But we all know how well 3P products meet their original release dates... :HEADHURTS:

You know what, I kinda like this lil fella!

I say 'lil' but he clearly fits in perfectly alongside out Deluxe Classics.

If the pricing settles out ok for a delivery to the U.K. I would like one of these!

This guy looks okay. Don't think I'll be getting him as I'm still hoping to get a full set of "mini" Minibots one day, but these pics leave me more excited for the eventual release of SXS' Blurr.

Sorry, but the image doesn't explain it for me. Yes iGear screwed up with the paint colours, but their version still fits with the Classics stuff. This one is MP sized with Classics style changes, where the hell does he fit? Too big for Classics and nowhere near show accurate enough for MP!!!

I have an Ultra-sized Powerglide, a voyager-sized Seaspray, a deluxe-sized Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Warpath. It's safe to say that, for me, it's not a matter of what size a character is.

This version fits more with what I see as a Classics reimaging of a character. He's got full poseability, a pretty cool altmode, and the colours are much better than iGears' offered. It doesn't matter to me that he's taller than his first ever toy was.

Same here, it looks like Gears took steroids. Same reason I had to take out the official powerglide and seaspray. It seems like a better figure overall, just .... not for Gears.

Bingo! That's why I chose him as well. He's for my Classics/Generations etc. shelf, NOT my MP shelf. MP=show-accurate for me, Classics/Generations etc.=an inspired, articulated, modernized reimagining of the characters and their alt modes inspired by their previous versions.

He does look great and if he was Classics Bumblebee height then I would've got him over iGear's attempt, but just can't have a Gears that is around the same height as Jazz.

I agree with monkey boy, all my minis are either small deluxes or scout sized. legends = too small, large deluxe and up = too big.

Plus with the exception of the plastics used by iGear, the design of Gears is probably their most successful. So successful it managed to get onto the cover of an IDW comic. It blows away the SXS attempt in every respect, barring the **** plastic.
