So is there any confirmation if this is an official re-release of MP-04? I've seen it on pre-order on at least 4 different online stores now.

UPDATE: TFSource is also offering preorders for MP-04 for $239.95 that's $10 less than BBTS but you have to pay up front.

I saw TFSource's listing last night, was happy with their lower pre-order price. However when I wanted to submit my credit card order, I noticed the ordering page where I input my personal data and credit card info was not SSL secured, so I decided not to use them. There are a couple of eBay sellers dramatically reducing their MP-04 listing prices lately, some come around $262 shipped with stock in-hand ready to ship even.

it is still way too much for Prime. I got mine september last year for RM600. Its like 175 USD. Its still trackable if you try to find one in retail. But if not getting now might see the an even higher price in the future. Its like TFC 00.

RobotKingdom has this up for $199.90, are they a good place to deal with??

I've never purchased anything from them, but the shipping price of $57.82 (to USA) brings them in the same price range as everyone else.

I'm still waiting for some type of official release that MP-04 is really coming.

I noticed that Ages 3 and up are stating this new run of MP-04 has not been confirmed and that is why they have no preorder for it. BBTS has proven to be pretty reliable in the past, I wonder what the deal is, several other online retailers also have preorders up.

Anyone have any updates on the upcoming re-release of MP-04? I read the following on the Agesthreeandup web site. I wonder just how much old stock really was discovered to have so many retailers offering it.

"This is not a re-release but an old stock find of these figures. There is Rumour of a release by Takara-Tomy but nothing has been confirmed yet. Until then, we have acquired some of these older pieces and made them availalbe to our customers. If you don't mind a premium then get these now."

BBTS said the same thing two weeks ago to me - "this is an old stock and not another reissue".

I pre-ordered mine from TFSource about two weeks ago and I just got mine today.

I can't believe how big the box is and how awesome the box looks. I don't even want to open it. Great purchase for th money. Hope you all get yours soon.

I just got mine from TFSource today too! Wow the box is so nice, I hardly want to open him either.

Mine's with BBTS and it should be shipping soon too. I pondered the question myself too, if the box is so nice, do I open it? Now I set my mind straight and clear, I "have to" open it to make sure it's not a 10 pounds brick inside, and that's what I will do with all my windowless sealed boxes.

Well I'm a 99% MISB collector, however one of the few exceptions I have are the Masterpiece series. In a way I'm glad they hide the figure inside, so there is no reason for me not to open it. Plus I can still enjoy the box even when the figure is out.

BTW, MP-04 is pretty sweet. It was a little hard paying the $$$ for him, but as I get more serious in my collecting, I learn that some figures are simply a MUST HAVE. I do love the detailing of the trailer and Optimus' paint job is far superior to his DVD counterpart.

BTW 2, I see more MP-04s on Ebay, however all the online store pre-orders are mostly sold out now. I wonder if Takara will some day officially rerelease these figures, or if they were the source of this newly found mystery stock of old inventory and are just testing the market.
