...first I've heard of the new legends getting a Takara release. Might be interesting to US fans who're possibly missing out on the Hasbro editions!!

Though, does anyone remember a Wave 5?

Sure do, here are the figures in that wave:

Optimus Prime
Jetfire
Mudflap (Ice Cream colors)
Skids (Ice Cream colors)
Payload (yellow Long Haul)
Rampage
Brawl Desert Mode
Scorponok (Stalker colors)

Using G1 Legends makes sense, with United wrapping up shortly.

I wonder, will they stick with what Hasbro did or repaint one of the figures into another character? They did it once before with Hasbro Bumblebee into Takara Cliffjumper. Perhaps we'll see a Hoist out of it? Or maybe a Browning :lol:

It would be nice to get a Megatron without that stupid saftey orange tip. Why the hell does the Hasbro version even have that? Its not like its the same size as a real gun.

You'd be surprised at how small working guns can be.

But of course! Well remembered! I recall being pretty ambivalent about this wave (though the ice-cream twins were a fun idea), especially after the awesome Elite Guard Animated redecos from the previous wave. I'd love to see some fun new paint jobs for the G1 legends in Wave 7
