Just had to pull out my G1 Shocky to compare... Those legs on the MP look so sturdy in comparison. Damn it looks nice. I was toying with the idea of getting that new huge black series Tie Fighter, but f@&$ that!, TT, take my money!

I say just get the takara. In many cases, the Hasbro version will be about the same price. So no reason to wait the extra 3 years or so it takes for them to release it. Also, all Hasbro MP releases for sought after characters have been a real pain to find, so just avoid the trouble and get him now.

While it is too bad that I just wrote a Best shockwave toys list ( :BANG_HEAD:

), I might just release it as a lead in to the MPs release. So it wouldnt be wasted effort, nor be too obvious as to what number one would be. Because this guy really seems to be miles ahead of any shockwave we have ever had. Also, I am extremely happy that this guy exists as I no longer feel the need to buy the G1 toy. This guys seems to be that toy with better proportions and articulation, which is all we have ever wanted. Looking forward to the revealed gun mode.

And Quakewave is begrudgingly cancelled. Looks to be about the same height as Ironhide is supposed to be so I'm going to be keeping tabs on QW just to be on the safe side. If the price drops because of this I may snatch one up for less than BBTS is asking. Shockwave should be at least the same height as Soundwave.

And Sabrblade, way to use every single image on the wiki! :lol:

A few years ago I came to the conclusion that Takara will make every G1 character in the Masterpiece style. It's going to take awhile but Shockwave just reinforces my belief.

Shockwave's face. So simple yet scary. You don't know what the heck is going on behind that monocular visage of his (wished we also have a scared sheeet emoticon too). The left image is cool scary but the bigger one scares me even more.

I'm glad they are finally going ahead with Shockwave. He's honestly been on the back burner of Takara for a few ears at least. When did that original teaser image go up? Was it around the same time as G2 Lambor? Plus some people got to see this last year when the first pics of Devastator leaked.

This looks good. The hip/crotch area looks a little silly, but other than that it looks good.

Really glad I sold off my Quakewave when I did.

While I'm rather indifferent to Hotrod, Shockwave is my 2nd favorite decepticon. This is so on my want-list.

You can always update the news post and repost it after it gets released.

This looks great so far, and I, too, canceled my Quakewave preorder very quickly after seeing this news. Even the clear version, as revenge for Sever and Tesla's terrible headsculpts.
