A lot of 3rd party products are actually superior to official ones, so don't let that scare you. Sadly, there aren't a whole lot of offerings out there right now for Rodimus Prime.

Thanks for the info! That Generations figure looks okay but I was hoping for a more MP styled Rodimus Prime. What do you guys use to fill that hole in your collection? It seems like MP-09 is rather frowned upon, and everything else is just 3P products.

Unfortunately there's nothing official outside of MP-09 that can works as an MP style Rodimus Prime. The problem is he's very fragile, and extremely fiddly in transformation.

If you really want a MP Roddy, try DX-9s Carry. He's leagues better than MP-09 in many regards.

Otherwise your options are limited to that Titanium Rodimus. He does have quite a bit of diecast if that makes any difference.

Yes. Its just a matter of getting his legs properly clipped into his upper section.

Did that. Tried again anyway, everything is tabbed and everything looks flush; but for some reason I can't get all the wheels exactly on the ground. I wonder if there's a small asymmetry somewhere that prevents him from rolling properly.

I never figured that out.

Cyberpath, I know you love mp shockwave, but between him and Hotrod, which is best?

Wow, hard to say, whenever I think one is better I'm reminded how great the other one is. I guess MP Shockwave. But tomorrow it could be Hot Rod.
