kind of my thoughts too. It doesn't scream masterpiece to me, which is disappointing. Same sort of thing with Tracks: for a masterpiece, you could expect a bit more

I agree with those thoughts as well. My knee jerk response when looking at these new pictures was, where is his waist? I don't care for the thin joint these pictures make the figure appear to have. Hopefully it won't be a QC problem as well. The undercarriage thing doesn't bother me in the slightest but the waist definitely does.

Well... undercarriage is an disappointment... but it's ment to be shown in the front though XD most likely everyone will display it facing forward or in alt mode so no big deal

That's his collar. It is a separate piece from the car hood chest. Higher quality images of the figure show there to be a seam that separates the collar from the rest of the hood, as the collar (and head) is replaced by the car's exposed engine in vehicle mode.

Ever since they started doing the cars the MP line has been less bang for buck. Sure the figures are great, but for me I just haven't gotten that WOW factor that MP1, or 10 had as often.

Oh yeah, definitely. I think it may have been there on the first release, but continuous re-use has given everyone mold-fatigue. I know I didn't go 'whoa' until shockwave was revealed.

I personally feel I got a lot more toy out of the 40-60$ spent on an MP car rather than the 190$ spent on MP 10.

While the figure itself didn't do it for me - due to his not looking like a transformer - but the mechanisms and storage certainly made mny jaw drop .

I love MP-10, but that's how I feel about MP-1.

Bee and Saber were pretty different. I love watching reviews of the guys because there was so much going on on either a very big or very small frame, and it was unlike anything seen before.

I can only assume they turn off their pain receptors when they transform. Could you imagine staying in that alt mode for a day? By the time you transform your shoulders would be killing you.

Imagine being DotM Roadbuster. he would have some serious problems there with his head and chest being a hole car length apart...

Na I feel the idea behind Masterpiece starting at MP10 is starting at the cartoon model and ignoring the toy completely while salvaging the engineering developed in the previous incarnation of the line.

Staring at pictures for long periods of time is not good for your health. may lead to double/impaired/poor vision and as a result poor attempts at performing even basic tasks as long as symptoms last

I think he looks great and maybe I'm easily pleased. Would I like to pay less? Sure but that's true about everything else I consume. I had gone off the mp line right around rodimus was released and then when they switched scale and released mp10 it felt redundant. Then they started releasing the cars in the new scale and with each release my woahs got louder. Wheeljack made me cave and start collecting again. Ultra Magnus was a super woah.

Ideally hot rod will let us swivel his head the other way. Until it's out in the wild, don't think it's fair to judge it so harshly based on assumptions...
