He's proud of it because they told him it was the remote control for the HD-DVD player.

He's probably unsure if his new pink remote uses IR or the thing flies across the room, transforms to bot mode to hit pause, transforms back to a jet, and then flies back to your hand. Hell, if something of mine did that, I'd be proud too no matter how feminine it looked.

Ummm...wow...that's gawd-awful-ugly.
However, I'm going to be purchasing a Toshiba XA2 in the next week or so. I'll have to look and see who is promoting the free DVD with purchase. Hey, saves me $27 bucks.
Anyone with more info on the promotion post it here. I'd greatly appreciate more info. If I find any more info I'll post it here as well. Thanks.

Seriously, thats the song that popped into my head when I saw this. I can excuse a LOT of excesses from Hasbrow/Takara (as is shown by my ownership of 90% of the Universe line) But this this is really too absurd to be believe....if it were actually Red, as the article name seems to imply, it would be very cool indeed(Phoenix Starscream anyone?)...but this shade of pink is truly horrendous beyond even the worse of G2. It really seems like they didn't care....

Is there Any reason given for why this travesty is being produced?

This thing is attached to something ungodly expensive. It's better off being something nobody wants. Be glad it's hideous.

Maybe we'll get a movie Skywarp as some variety of store exclusive later on once all the Thundercrackers and G1-redeco Starscreams are off the shelves.

oh come on people!!!!!!! Stop critisizing this toy Just because of its color. It is not pink it is gold, which is a true boy and Decepticon color(notice the color of most decepticon eyes), and i must say gold is a good color. Its the color of victory, the color of success, the color of a 1st place trophy, which is rewarded only to those who succeed and get noticed because of their great ideas(like all of the people that work with hasbro and seibertron. So stop making Starscream look like such a dork by writing down bad things about him.(hasbro and seibertron, you rock!)

Please, the majority of that figure is fuschia, red, pink or whatever the heck you want to call it. Plus, a majority of people want Skywarp.. maybe Thrust.. and heck... even Dirge and Ramjet would be fine.

But a Pink Starscream? Sure, i like the figure and paint app too, but it's way too expensive.
