*BA DUM CHA!*
And you're not posting it right. You have to do it with the same inflection that Wreck-Gar would...
GARBAGE!!!!!All joking aside, yeah, the Allspark Power figures are really lackluster. (The original molds I mean, the repaints aren't bad at the mold level, because they come from toys made of win and awesome)
- Stockade bores me with his abundance of unpainted details (which could've help sell him, in my book),
- Landmine is just frustratingly easy (except the arms. Those just make me want to punch a wall.) and also boring, but has a bit more on the ball than Stockade in the looks/detail department.
The clear winner of the original ASP molds is...
- Incinerator. I originally gave him low marks for his ridiculous prop hands of doom, and his flimsy legs...but once I made him some hands and posed him just right...he is made of win and saved the ASP figures from being completely bankrupt in the cool department.
Still...one out of three ain't good...
EDIT: This... "recall" might not be a bad thing like everyone thinks.
Follow me for a sec here...
It's clear that they're not selling these figures. I know of 3-4 Wal-Marts (and one K-Mart) that has an abundance of:
Landmine
Payload
Salvage (which sold out, thanks to those of you who bought 'em.)
Stockade
Etc.
That's not even counting the older figures from earlier in the line that aren't moving either.
That's a lot of stuff to just..."sit there".
Animated's date has been moved from June 22nd to May 26th, back to June 22nd, and now it's back to May 26th on HTS.com.
My guess is that Animated will be pushed up, and since there's no room for the figures with all of the current product, the retailers are returning them to Hasbro for credit. Oh they'll leave the Premiums on the shelves, because they're the main stars of the movie, but the rest are just pure, instant shelfwarm.
Might as well earn back some of their investment, make room for new product, and everyone's happy all around. That's just a guess, but it's a reasonable one.
Oh and one more thing, I had mentioned in another thread that a woman at my Wal-Mart had confirmed the street date in the computer...that mandate can be lifted in mere minutes once Hasbro sends out the release info. In fact, when the second (or third?) trailer for the Movie came out, they released the wave 1 Deluxes to help publicize it. (I.E. cash in early.)
I think it's a sign that Animated is coming sooner than we think.
At least I hope...because the ASP figures are weighing down the pegs...bad.
