Generations are the better toys no doubt, but they're just another extension of G1 in my opinion, as is Armada and Energon to a lesser extent. I can't stand the Animated or Bay-formers toy designs.
Oh, and before everyone starts, I'm probably heavily biased by nostalgia, rightly or wrongly. I just don't have the same emotional attachment to the later TF toys as I do with my G1's, and that to me is the most important thing.
