I picked number 3. I like to have a definate idea of my characters and my personal canon in mind when I'm playing, and the simplicity of the game's actual combat engine is perfect to allow all the little fiddly things like the colour picker, weapon names and whatnot to be changed without actually needing to alter gameplay, which is how I think things should be. Robot modes, especially, would be nice as a simple aesthetic thing that has no actually effect. Those are the kind of things I like to fiddle.

Re: The Most Important Question Ever (ok, maybe not)
Curiosity my boron compressor.
i went for no.1 as I love v1 pretty much how it is; the game itself is FINE, wouldn't change how it plays at all, just a few little things behind the scenes so you no longer NEED to read the forums or speak to the right people to be able to excel in the game.
though considering i agree with every single point in Jeep's post, yet chose the opposite answer perhaps the poll could do with being a little less vague.

Also, 'a lot' is two words. Which is more proof that you need me.

I picked #3 I like the way the game plays now but I would like more control of the aesthetics towards my team.

I think people might need a clearer explanation on what "micro-managing" is, because I take it as having to sit in front of your computer and be in control more, not spiffying up your character(s)

Yep. I want a little more fun goodies for HMW, but I don't want it to be a big all-out RPG that takes a while to learn and to play.

I picked #3 the game itself is great I don't mind the waits to see what your logs are for a set of missons. This allows me the time to work on side projects that Id for fun. Over all there could be a few game play add ons but in it's simplicity there is a lot the game has to offer.

May be both. Just whatever you think. By definition micro-managing can mean alot of things but I am keeping the options vague because I want to get people's gut reactions on it.Burn wrote:I think people might need a clearer explanation on what "micro-managing" is, because I take it as having to sit in front of your computer and be in control more, not spiffying up your character(s)
Of course, anyone can elaborate on their vote in this thread.

I picked 2 and went with a little more. I like the idea of doing more with my characters, but I don't want to have to sit here for an hour to get things the way I want.

micro-managing is a good option to have when you have extra time.
IMHO

It depends on the day. I vary from one level to the next so I picked #2 as the medium.

Just like I won't sign a document that's purposely worded so that I don't understand it. I won't vote on something when the options are purposely vague. The only way these options could be more vague would be if they were "Yes", "No" , and "Maybe".

Umm gut reaction is explicit and might result in a warning so I won't post it.

I haven't had one ever, and I don't particularly plan on getting one. . . .yet.

I selected micro-manage, as I like having lots of little things to play with, as long as it doesn't mess too much with the main game. Perhaps I should have taken the middle option.

Re: The Most Important Question Ever (ok, maybe not)
I picked option Two. There is definitely more out there for the game. Previous incarnations have proven it. Yet for some reason or another, that is never fully explained to the players, they are taken away and never seen again. Things like Robot Modes, NPCs, Automatic Tournament Tracking, Sub-factions, the over all fun of the game... Simple things like that.
HMW has become the background noise on my Browser Screen. The overblown drama in these forums is nearly impossible to stomach. The sterile, almost Orwellian atmosphere is boring anyways. Go anywhere else and it is just people bitching about the way things are. Hell, this little rant right here is probably going to get me a perma-ban. How dare I voice my opinion when it goes against the party line.
It is always easier to silence the voices of discontent than to fix the problems that gives them reason.
But I really have to stop and think really hard. What are my problems with HMW? And I really can't come up with a solid answer.
The game works (for the most part).
A little XP/Energon boost to compensate for all the downtime would be nice...
It would be nice to have some of little touches back like Robot Modes and such.
Its nice to see that there will be more Tactics! Altmodes with only one Tactic are getting to be a drag.
Two or Three more Character Slots would be nice!
There isn't going to be a reset. Yay for the 5%! Once again I was right.
It would be nice to have more Autobots around in the missions. But that has been a problem from the beginning. Lose the large payouts for the Arena? Make the missions more appealing.
At this rate, I don't really care what is done about Subfactions in the game. Just stop trying to make them the cause of all that is wrong with HMW when that is clearly not the case. Will we ever forget Dark Tidings? (Whichever version of "the truth" you subscribe to.)
So what am I driving at? I really have no clue. I just want to play HMW. That's the bottom line.
