Wow. Reading this thread helps me feel better about my own collection habits. I'm nowhere near as crazed to pull an all-nighter looking for a couple $10 Transformers. I am sane after all. Well, at least a little saner.

Congrats on the grab, man! As I'm sure a few other Seibertronians can atest, early mid-morning (2am-5am) shopping generally nets the pretty good results. Third-Shifting does have it's advantages!
For me, anyway.

Went today, and the only thing of note was a Voyager Megs.

Again, thanks for all the encouragement (mainly brokaw, coolpop)), before and after the big score!! I really did need it. I know after last night a lot of you might think I'm a bit nuts
but honestly I just have a bunch of time on my hands (teacher) and I thought pulling an all nighter would be fun, just for one night. Actually, a lot of you were my inspiration. I've just heard too many stories about people scoring at 5am, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Listen too me, like I'd earned a metal or overcame some disease. Late last night I simply found a toy that will soon be everywhere. In the scheme of things it's nothing!!
I noticed that in some responses to this thread that some of you may be wanting to throw in the towel???
Simply, take what others have done and use it to your advantage. For you locals, Versa and Ultra Prime (and all other reading this locally) now I'm going to give you some very specific info ok??
The second store I hit, the Walmart in Federal Way (at hwy 18 and I-5)? Their pegs were empty and what looked to be one of the main stocking persons told me, "I'm sorry, we've got so much TF stock in the back still to put out. Try TOMORROW NIGHT" when I asked, "whats up with these empty pegs?"
There you go. That particular Walmart is due, big time. 4am-ish??? Also that is where I got my voyager megs. For now I am so done. So don't expect to see me there.
FOR ALL OF YOU ACROSS THE COUNTRY....walmarts at 4am may treat you well. Watched so many fresh boxes being opened. Tons!!
Some of you might say...well that's because of the reset? Not necessarily so. Last night they were busting out boxes with May 1st on them!! I've seen June 1st boxes but not
May 1st!! Wal-marts everywhere have so much stock piled, deep in the back they haven't put out. One guy described to me, "we have like 15 pallets of toys we haven't even gotten to yet."
Good luck everyone!!! Set your alarms for 3:45am and hit up a super center. Or better yet go at 11pm first to check to see what's marked on the pallets in the aisles.

Good haul, skyblast. I've pulled more than my fair share of 4AM runs in the past, and they almost always pay off.
(shameless plug coming up...)
If anybody is looking for any movie figs, I've decided to sell off all my movie line purchases. No, there is no 08 BB or Arcee, but if anybody's interested, they're sitting in the Carbombya thread right now.

I'm telling you Bond...they do. You just have to follow some of the rules: )11pm go check the pallets in the aisles 2)show up around 4am (if something looks promising). Walmart employees have to be done stocking toys off the pallets by 5am. But? If you don't have the time there's nothing one can do about that. Hang in there.

yeah, that sucks man. If it weren't for walmart my collection would look a lot different.
I also want everyone to know that Washington is NO different than any other place in the country. Empty, empty, empty pegs everywhere I go!! Kentucky sounds like the place to me.
Just get a little die hard about things and eventually you'll find what you are looking for.

Went to the closest walmart today and got quite the shock. The entire transformer section was gone and it's now more Spiderman stuff. The transformer isle displays are gone, now they have pool supplies sitting there, and there wasn't even an alternator or anything to be found in the toy section. Completely vacant of transformers anything today and no shelf space free anywhere like they were moving them.

Same Here Pontimax, my Walmart is still working on 8/06 week reset, TF section is totally gone. I looked thru all posted POG (Planogram) & endcap layout sheets on every shelves, no Transformers at all. I couldn't find anyone around to ask questions, puzzled, then walked onto pet section to buy some turtle food (my store haul of the day!).
However I believe those TF toys we're waiting for will eventually surface again, because each store is geographically different & what's being ordered, the transit time will all vary.
Cheers!

If you feel like taking a ride, got to Morris. It's about a half hour south of me(I'm in Joliet) down Rte. 7. I'm sure you could take I 55, I just don't know the exits off hand. And that Super Wal-Mart is 24 hours.

"Consider the knowledge dropped."
From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.

I'm glad I'm not the only one crazy enough to go hunting for TFs all night! You sir are an inspiration and your hauls were completely worth it, IMO.
If you would've hit that Wal-Mart 12 hours later I bet you there would have been nothing but protos. You gotta go what you gotta do when your a TF collector.
If my closest Wal Mart wasn't 30 mins away I would do what you did. Maybe this weekend (the gf is out of town) I'll wake up early and go there around 5/6ish. And if I do find something, everyone should be able to hear my screams of delight throughout the US.

Do you think this weekend you'll be able to slip away around 11 or 12pm to check the walmart pallets in the aisles first? That's always your best bet. If you see anything about deluxes get an employee to open them up or set your alarm for 3:45am!!!
Good luck and let me know ok?
Also you're not crazy to be out look at all hours. If you were on the west coast you could be my wing man!! Or I could be yours....uhhh what if we both found one BB08?...I'd let you have it. I already had my magic night. However, if it were a softimus prime I'd fight your for it.
