Hello,
I'm still new to the forums. I am 30 yrs old.
I got back into collecting with rotf leader prime. I am a big fan of G1. I have Masterpiece prime with battle damage displayed on my desk. He is a reminder for me to make sacrifices and excel to achieve my goals. Whenever I feel like it is too hard or maybe I should give up I look at Optimus and I get inspired and motivated and think, "what would Optimus do?", and I'm back on track.
I get judged immediately by friends and family when they find out how much I love transformers and that I still collect them. If they think its childish, let them try to transform rotf leader prime from Robot mode to Truck mode. Prepare to watch them squirm.
I also realize these are people I shouldn't waste my time with because they are narrow minded and judgmental.
I do however feel an intangible bond with fellow transformers collectors especially in these forums even though I have never met them or seen them yet. But in general everyone treats you like an old friend right from your 1st post. This bond seems to extend to real life as well because I have randomly bumped into other collectors in the transformers section of various stores and immediately got into really good conversations.
These are just my personal feelings, opinions and experiences in the past year.
Praise Primus and pass the Energon
