alot of people have lists like this, so i thought why not?
im judging this on 3 ways: difficulty, length, my opinion

10. Galactica knight from kirby super star ultra

Difficulty: this guy is like meta knight, only harder. he has al his attacks, and some new ones too.
Length: he has alot of health, and you need to heal often if your meta knight
opinion: the reason that he is so low is that in metaknightmare, you can heal and do a super attack.

I never had trouble dealing with Vergil in DMC3. In fact, he's probably one of my favorite bosses. In my three fights with him I pulled out maneuvers I didn't even know I had, all three fights felt almost choreographed. He wasn't hard, but he put up a good fight.

I would say Jecht from FFX, ONLY if absolutely nobody in your party has the break damage limit ability. Otherwise he is a pushover.

My current nemesis is the final boss from Mass Effect 2 on insanity. Gotta love 1 hit deaths.

GOD yes. The fact that the Act List doesn't accurately reflect how many attacks Jecht actually gets doesn't help. First time I beat him, it was only because Shiva, with Break Damage Limit, dodged a shot that was supposed to kill her.

Don't remember his name, but in Ninja Gaiden the boss on top of the blimp. You're fighting him in a thunder storm. It's been a few years since I played it, but I never got passed that part

That boss, and pretty much every boss afterwords. And I also never finished Ninja Gaiden.

The final boss in Star Trek elite Force, that f**king thing just won't die no matter how long and how much ammo I pump into him, the longest I shot him for was like 15 minutes and he just wouldn't die.

I would add the second form of the final boss from FFXIII, but poison turned it into a little bitch.

Which is strange because most final bosses in Final Fantasy come with immunity to most if not all status effects.

That said, someone told me Kefka is FF6 was supposed to be a pushover. Now, maybe it was because I didn't have the exact right setup, maybe it was because I was too spent from the preceding battles. But he was not a damned pushover. I had to grind for hours to get the right setup (In addition to the hours I had already grinded) and he still wasn't easy.

The problem though was there wasn't a good place to level grind to get to a higher level. Sure there were plenty of enemies in the final area leading up to him, but they only gave out GP or something. Forgive me if I got it wrong, it's been AGES since I played it, but it was the points that leveled up your classes, and no proper EXP.

Also on the subject of RPG's is what I assume is the final boss of Evolution, for the Dreamcast. Been a long time since I booted that sucker up, but I never beat the boss. Why? Cause leveling up was futile, since the boss leveled up too!!!! How cheap is that?

Dynamo Man from Mega Man and Bass is another painful boss. I finally sat down and beat the game yesterday, and I was yelling at the TV cause of him, and I don't normally do that. He's not too hard until you get to about three or so life points left, and then he jumps up into the air, and attaches himself to a machine that can refill his health bar to the max if left alone. To stop this, you have to destroy both sides of the machine, and the weakness weapon for him(basically a clone) can only destroy one side at a time. Even doing it super quick he'll refill at least half his health, and guess what? He can do that same thing AGAIN in the same fight, probably infinitely. You don't get any E or W Tanks either, only Eddy who may or may not give you items to refill your health/weapon energy. The only way to beat the guy is to get lucky and kill him before he recharges.

Funny thing is Wily is a pushover in MM and Bass. I beat him on my first try with the Mega Buster, and a lucky Eddy call in.

Actually the beginning the the Void (The big dark scary place where you fight Gilgamesh for the final time, as well as Exdeath) is a great place. Walk around the sigil that you entered from, the enemies give out MASSIVE ABP (Used for getting Job Levels), while the enemies BEFORE the Void tend to be pretty generous with exp.

That said, I used a team of all Freelancers, Bartz had two-handed and Focus, Lenna had White and Summon, Krile had Time and Black, and Faris had Dual-Wield and Rapid Fire. It wasn't exactly easy, but I got it in only a couple tries, and only lost Faris.

Incidentally, get the GBA version of FF5, it is so much better than the crappy PS1 translation. It's easily one of my favorite FF games.
