I'm a little stunned by his size! The first two are perfectly sized Deluxe figures and this guy is a small Voyager... Makes me wonder if I want him, and the rest of the team, as I was expecting a fairly standard robot size for all of them, except for maybe Wideload

That's correct, we can always find other toys to fill the Throttlebot gaps in our collections. It would suck to buy Not-Chase only to find out that the next release (or the one after that) was a third size

I'm a big fan to TW, but their pathetic attempt at Brainstorm, and now this, has me worried about their future projects. All it takes is one stupid decision to ruin a figure and, for me at least, this up-sizing could be a deal-breaker.

This TW Throttlebots combiner reminds me of the Gobots Turbo combiner.

I like the TW Throttlebot sculpts. I'm sure i'll like the combined form. What stopping me from buying any of them is there weak fighting skills in the 1980's cartoon & comics. In the 1987 Cartoon the Throttlebot were the whipping boys of the Horrorcons. While in the 1980's Comic,The Throttlebots all got destroyed so easily all at once.

We did go a few months after Searchlight was released before we saw prototype images of Chase, I'm sure we'll be ok.

If Chase being a lot bigger is due solely to the gestalt gimmick then I will be sorely disappointed in TW!

When I see that arm I all I can think of is the Dead End we should have got from Fansproject. I would love to see Toyworld take a shot at the Stunticons. They would probally get the size right (in scale with classics Autobot cars) They seem to do a better job matching the Hasbro aesthethic than Fansproject. They would also take their sweet time putting out each one so it wouldnt break the wallet. I would buy it.

I'm still betting on an FJ Cruiser for Wideload (or possibly a Hummer).
As for the size thing, like I said, I'm in the minority who care more about vehicle-mode scale than robot mode, so we'll see on this one.
As to the comment about Toyworld doing the Stunticons, I would love that, as I have been collecting these and the FP not-Stunticons, and while the FP ones are gorgeous to look at, they're just not as much fun to transform as Toyworld so far.
First, however, they seem to be intending to do a stealth bomber Megatron, Ultramagnus, some dinobots, and presumably finish out this set and the headmasters.

Well, Trace is processing at BBTS. Hmm, with the other two they've done and a Classics Bumblebee with an upgrade kit, that means I'll have four of the Throttlebots!

How big is he?!?! And I thought Grind Rod and Aurora were already pushing their luck size-wise. ToyWorld really seem to have a 'bigger is better' complex. The more I see of this line, the more justified I feel in ditching it.

Trace just dropped into my POL. I'll have him by the end of next week and take some size pics. I'll also look for the QC issues mentioned and pictured earlier.

Lots? Are you referring to the circled portions of the posted pictures? There were two pics that original poster said that people should be careful about the shoulders. The other are just observations. You might want to do a translation of the link to get clarifications.

Well the Throttlebots scale with Hasbro classics cars perfectly. Unlike the super small scale Fansproject used for the stunticons which is a joke. But I agree Toyworld made their headmasters too big.

Baltmatrix' video review gives a pretty good look/instructions on transforming the roof bits on the back.

So am I a big idiot with cinder blocks instead of hands, or has anyone else had Chase's hood shear right off of its moorings? \looking at the mess it left behind I can't see how it was ever even designed to spin around.

I didn't, but I can see how it would happen. The instructions are not very clear on what is supposed to pivot. I kept pushing, and if I had done any more force, I might have done what you did.

I just lost a mirror. I'm just waiting for something else to break so I can not waste too much epoxy. (I have young kids, so breakage in my house is almost a guarantee.)

The mirrors actually pop right back in. Mine have come off a couple times while transforming him, but they slide right back in. You will fumble for a minute trying to figure out how to align them to go back in, but then they do fit back in. It's actually a nice feature (and typical of good engineering, in my opinion, as that's my day job): design things to come apart rather than break off.

As for the hood, I haven't had any issues, but I also haven't followed the instructions. Part of the fun for me with every new Transformer is figuring out how to transform them by myself, so, since this can be trial and error, I tend to be very very gentle with it and really examine them carefully. Have you contact the retailer you bought it from? Some are very customer-friendly with replacements if they haven't warned against the breakage (TFSource has always treated me well).

Yeah, the mirror would slide right back in if the little triangle of red plastic on the door edge hadn't also broken off (and gotten lost in my carpet. My wife has likely vacuumed it up by this point.)

I would also throw my support behind contacting the retailer. I have used BBTS extensively and they are very decent too with customer service. (The mirror issue is minor enough for me to fix on my own.)
