Using an exacto knife is a great tip. I'll end up keeping the cards because they're flat anyway, but the bubbles... hmm, that's challenging

There's a handful of boxes worth keeping (Armada Unicron, Best Buy Movie Voyager Megatron), but I'd still like to salvage the rest before I have to move.

Oh yeah. And all my boxes are only taking up about two shelves of my closet. I did a pretty good job of Tetrising them.

I rather keep all the boxes, I feel that it's a part of the product and I like them. Would I part with any box I would want it back on the next day... The point is that this are things I like and I'm collecting, not a box for day-to-day products like PC hardware, a TV, etc. Those last ones don't have any value to me, but those of the figures I collect have that value. This is my view on this matter, and I don't keep them thinking about selling my TFs. If was planning on selling them at some time I wouldn't buy them in the 1st place. I intend to keep them until my last day. Then when I retire I can play with my toys lol

I mostly only keep the card backs - I have a few boxes here and there (including all of my handful of Japanese boxes, but they all fit under my bed) but I just don't have the space to keep everything. The card backs/instructions are taking up a decent amount of space already.

And everything that can be recycled does get recycled.

I actually make it a point to save at least one box per transformers line. I have a box from almost every line (minus G2, Armada, and Machine Wars). I use the boxes in my "display". I would post pics of my collection with the boxes being used for display, but I refuse to do so until I get my RID Scourge (Laser Prime redeco) and my damn Revotech Starscream that I've been waiting on for 3 weeks! >_<
