Transformers In Australia
Hey Everyone!
Since our last "Sightings" Thread was moved (to god knows where, I cant find it with the search function), I thought perhaps we should have a more general, toy based thread for the ever increasing amount of Aussies on the board.
Sightings, thoughts, release dates, etc etc.
The Target Sale is still running, and will finish this Sunday (29th July).
If this year is anything like last year, once these sales are over, dont expect Transformers to be on sale again until late October, and dont expect the shelves to be stocked too well until then either...

I bought Arcee for $20 last week but that was it. I'm thinking of getting Wreckage and any other deluxe Decepticons at the sale. I think I'll go tomorrow or Saturday. And I WANT that Bumblebee 08...

Get Wreckage, he has quickly become one of my favourite Deluxe figures, I keep tinkering around with him.
Sure his paint scheme is a tad boring, and his automorph does not actually lock in, but he is still a great figure none the less.
That and he has two sword/dagger things!
-Edit-
Burn, I may just quote you on the Grumpiness factor....

That's just what I was thinking. Wreckage would be nice.
I might just go today, after I'm done with my darn uni work.
Oh boy!

The sightings topic got moved to the sightings board.
http://www.seibertron.com/forums/viewto ... t=390&sid=
I have Wreckage too. He and Proto Prime are my only two movie figures except the Real Gear, Robot Heroes and Legend Megatron...
I recently found out that Wreckage's two blades can be slotted together to give a double ended blade sort of like Darth Maul's lightsaber.
I'm still looking for an 09 Bumblebee. When I checked Chatswood Target on Saturday after someone sighted a bunch on Thursday they were all gone.
Somewhat off topic, tomorrow I should be receiving my Hobby Link Japan order. It doesn't have any TFs in it, but it has two Revoltechs and two SD Gundam models.
This is the first time I've dealt with HLJ and it all went very smoothly. I really like the fact that yen are almost exactly the same as Australian cents. Their prices are very reasonable. I paid 5400 Yen for my order, and 2800 for the shipping. Each revoltech was 1900 yen before shipping. That's by far the best price I've found anywhere. Sure beats the $20US or so that BBTS charges, or the $45 that I think I saw Kings Comics selling them for at Supanova last year.

I guess the scalpers must have arrived, as there were at least 10 left around midday last friday.
This Target sale has been pathetic, I am sure they are purposely leaving the shelves bare (except for the useless stuff like Beamers) during the sale, but will magically restock when the sale finishes, so they can get $28 for a deluxe/FAB.
I got the IDW Ark Animation Model book as a late Birthday present yesterday! My gf managed to get it for $32 from an Emailcash bookstore or something. They had good prices form many Transformers TPB, especially since they apparently come form the USA.

Elita-One figure?
Are you talking about the Target exclusive repaint of Energon Arcee, or am I being really really daft?

Voyager Megs and Leader Megs at Target in Central Brisbane district. A LOT of them. Almost like they're shelfwarming now.

Target Chatswood has indeed been left fairly bare.
Only stuff left includes the ever popular Beamers, Voice changer helmets, $50 learning pc's and blasters.
It's messy as hell, so I'd guess staff have been told to leave the toy sections alone until the sale finishes this weekend.

Well I read on this very site there is going to be a fig of my username sake 'old man'. I have seen that Arcee fig. Shepparton Target has her. Actually now I might go buy her after school is finished if she is still there.

Good, so I wasnt being very very daft, just plain daft.
No sightings of any new wave figures in Australia have been reported, here or on TAAU, so Elita-1 must still be some amount of time away.
Target Scout Arcee is very nice, I think that she is meant to be Moonracer, to finish off the Botcon set that was released a few years back that had about 50 versions of that figure in it.

I'd say get whatever Target exclusive scouts that are out there that you like, if you dont have previous versions of them. While some of them may be pointless redecos, I say the play value more than makes up for their time from previous toylines.

Checked all the targets from Blacktown to Penrith (4 of them) over the weekend, as I was searching for the Voice changer helmet.
Not a single one, and I dont think that the shelves had been restocked in almost a fortnight, Beamers and the PC's were the only things I found more than 1-2 of in each store.
Also popped into some Big W's, and it seems Dreadwing will be the Shelfwarmer of his wave, as there were plenty of him and Swindles on the shelves.

When I was in Chatswood target the other week looking for Bumblebee there were heaps of voice changers. Both versions too!

I only visit Chatswood during the week on my lunch break.
I was trying to get the Helmet on Special for $60, really wish I had've gotten it in Big W a few weeks back for $50, but then I didnt find the Cullen helmet until after their sale ended anyways...
I forgot to add that I got Robovision Prime for my Birthday.
He is greatness, and I'm glad my mates were able tog et me one, as like '08 Bumblebee, Robovision Prime was the perfect target for Scalpers.
If Target restock him, grab him while you can,. he is worth the $50 price tag, the paint apps are great (only one tiny fleck of silver on 1 tyre) the robot mode is beautiful, and while not the best figure to pose (ankles dont move) his robot mode looks like Prime, and his alt mode looks better (to me) than Leader Prime's alt mode.
The transformation is fairly easy, I read the instructions afterwards to see if I had missed any bonus extras, and they make the transformation seem much more confusing than it really is. There is not much of an automorph though, as best as I can tell, the lower legs are the counted automorph, but they dont really do much.

Big W Plumpton has finally gotten rid of their Cybertron Metroplex stock, and they had 3x Classic Cliffjumpers, but no Ramjet.
Still yet to see one of the buggers outside of Myers.

I got Concept Bumblebee! Finally.
I won't say where I got him from because that's what the sightings thread is for, but I can say there were two more of him after I bought my one.
What's the story with Barricade? I decided not to buy him when I first saw him but he seems to have disappeared now. Do you think I've missed him completely?
