No plans for any box sets either I'm afraid. It's all power to Siege now. But I reckon we'll be getting more combiners before too long

Well, PotP did get one box set...It also happens to be the Titan Class figure though. Yeah missing Seacons and Dinoking/Monstructor are going be a nagging hole in my modern collection, (but so are Raiden, Road Caesar, & Landcross, - Yeah I'm a combiner completest...)but hopefully whatever part 2 of "WFC" is, will incorporate at least one of them. I know we haven't seen nearly all of *Siege*, but since they made all the effort to remove the combiner parts for Chromia, it seems Hasbro is pretty clear on having no combiners at least in 2019.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

That's how I had Menasor combined the last time (the Stunticons are in storage now), but I had to prop him up against the wall behind him. I also get irked at having to turn the legs sideways on the MM and Hotspot molds in torso mode. Looks ridiculous.Sabrblade wrote:While not solving all of the mold's problems as a torso, it does look a little better (and a little taller) when one turns the legs of the mold to face backwards instead of facing sideways. Granted, the combiner's thighs are also made looser since they can no longer peg into the waist piece (which each copy of the mold only did to varying degrees anyway), but it's a small price of "stability" to pay to make the mold look a tad less ugly-looking as a torso.Rodimus Prime wrote:The above pictures of BCOP just reminded me of how horrible that mold is as a torso.

So, new question. Who here is gonna try and be ambitious enough to get all 16 Prime Masters and the Throne of the Primes set to put the 12 normal Prime Masters in the Halo of Primus display and the remaining four (the 3 Special Editions and the Thirteenth/Matrix Prime Master) in the Scepter of Sparks?

Are you sure you're not mixing up Victorion with Volcanicus? The Torchbearers may not have been from the original G1 lineup (being IDW originals), but IIRC they were conceived as a combiner team from the start (As opposed to a team given a combined form well after the fact).

Except that, y'know, in Devastator and Predaking's cases, those "pieces" are all individual characters with their own personalities and their own robot and alternate modes.

I'm wanting to put distinguishing marks of some sort on the Prime Armor filler guns for Jazz and the Dinobots. I'm not sure whether to come up with personalized symbols for each of them and glue those to the undersides of the guns, or to paint the guns. And if I go the painting rout, how best to distinguish between the individual Dinobots' weapons - anyone got suggestions?

Well I know someone a couple pages back (sorry I forgot the name...

If I can get the exclusive Megatronus and Solus Prime from the other 2 bots individually (since I don't need a 2nd Shuttle Blastoff, and have no desire to own P/CP). I would like to do this, but but it's all about price and timing. I still think it would have made all the figures more desirable if the "Throne of Primes" came with those 14th and 15th symbols (presumably Primus and Unicron themselves) we saw early on, as for the 16th, I have no idea what we could call it. Maybe "The One"??
I also still wish we were getting normal releases for the remaining 5 PM's with Pretender shells, so there would be no need for all this exclusive nonsense...

And at least Takara's putting the Throne set out at mass retail and not an exclusive over there.

I think a lot of us are going to end up doing that just by default. It looks like the throne wont be hard to get outside of HTS so that's the biggest hurdle for many of us. Ironically it's wave 2 that's looking like the biggest challenge.

That's actually fine with me. Each box does say the combiner's name on the front, indicating that the figure inside is a single character. And when you open the box, there s/he is. In pieces.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:As for actual PotP comments (y'know, the topic we're supposed to discuss), I never looked at Devastator or Predaking as a boxed set, to me it's a Titan Class figure that happens to be in pieces inside the box. I painted the ones of my Dinobots golden from the underside and the details and "gun barrels" with an orange Sharpy. So they all look the same. But I'd suggest you add some blue on Swoop's maybe on the slats looking like area, black on Sludge's, sliver for Slag's and red on Snarl's. For Jazz' I would use either silver, too or a bright/light/baby blue matching his headlights or white (all on the underside of course).
Why do you want to glue them on the underside

Maybe those will help you:

I have Moonracer and I'm thinking about if I leave her's how it is or paint it silver or white from the underside. Any suggestions?

I picked up Dreadwind the other day, and I was kinda surprised at the QC issues he had. The forearms pop off really easily, and the 5mm ports for his hands are too tight for him to hold his weapon while the port for the hand/foot in limb mode is barely able to support the weight of the prime armor in arm mode. I love his jet mode though. Robot mode is alright, but having the wings on his legs looks a little strange. Either way, he was a lot of fun to paint. The paint’s a little rough in some spots, but overall I like it!

Nice job

And which type of color did you use? I love to use GUNDAM Markers. They are so versatile. You can paint larger areas or fine details with them. And sometimes I use a wider paintbrush to spread the color more even and save paint or a fine paintbrush for narrow areas I cant reach with the pens. But of course they are maybe a bit expensive to use them on large open areas.
But actually I think they are meant for that, too

'Leaked From Cybertron' Early Concepts of Transformers Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Courtesy of the official social media channels for the Hasbro Transformers brand, we have a set of three new images and a video, exploring an initial idea for Power of the Primes, its Leader class Evolution gimmick, and something that almost was - with concept toy art by Emiliano Santalucia: vehicle / alt mode combination possibilities!
The image shown below features Rodimus Prime / Hot Rod, and a cadre of deluxes, that seem to be able to attach to the winnebago mode for the Autobot, making him into a Cybertronian jet of sorts (with some echoes of the movieverse spiky designs), with the attachment of another figure that never came to be, speculating it may have been a figure for Prima in the Sky Shadow / Overlord style of molds. Take a look at the images, the clip of John Hasbro Warden, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

That certainly is something different. I always wondered why we didn't get more vehicle combiners (outside of Big Powered) in the Transformers franchise, seemed like the right thing to do since the characters are equal parts robot and vehicles.
Anyway, here's the "Prima" the Va'al mentioned in the article for those that don't know what he's talking about or haven't seen this design before.

Looking closer, if that Starscream wan't originally intended to be a Voyager Star Saber then I'd be shocked. Also this is the second time we've seen Swoop with proper wing missiles that never made it to the figure.

Alright I'm legit angry that we didn't get that Prima.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

"Somehow" I'm always disappointed when they go the G1 route
And I want a Prima or Megatronus from that concept artwork
I've seen it before but didn't know who those characters were supposed to be. I thought Prima was maybe Thunderwing. I still want a Leader class Thunderwing
And no thrid party upgrade kit with missiles for Swoop so far

Re: Transformers Power of the Primes Leaks, Rumours, Reveals, and More
While I'm glad we got Abominus and, to a lesser extent, Volcanicus I can't help but think POTP should have the Thirteen as regular figures, with Prima, Megatronus and maybe a third guy (Onyx maybe?) as Leader. The rest as voyagers and deluxe would have worked, with Micronus as a Legend.
