Man, this is taking way too long for them to get this season out. It's not even as nearly as expensive to make as Prime.

That goofy photo does little to change my poor opinion about the show. #-o
It has some good elements, but doesn't anyone else feel like it's dumbing down our children? No Decepticons, no evil force to fight... the bots fight the elements and misunderstandings? Their goal is to improve interpersonal relationships?

Sorry to complain, but I was very disappointed - I love the toys, but the show feels like it's written by "hug-the-world" hippies. A sort of mild propaganda that decries any and all violence as the root of all evils. :BANG_HEAD:

Just sayin' - show needs a menacing force to balance out the hippie goodwill. :-x

My 2 yr old son LOVES guns and shooting stuff. I didn't teach him about guns or show him guns - he somehow picked up on it on his own (probably from watching a video game or Jimmy Neutron - it's sort of a mystery). But his interest in guns does not make him violent or dangerous! HE'S JUST PLAYING! I miss the cowboys and indians days when kids could pretend play without being labeled as troubled or dangerous. Rescue Heroes has no guns - that's a social and political message.

All of us that grew up in the "violent" G1 era did not turn out disgruntled and dangerous.

So yeah, for my money, I skip Rescue Heroes and I show my son a quality program like G1 Transformers or Beast Wars - 2 shows that exemplify how violence can be used for self-defense, and how guns help protect people (not just kill them indiscriminately).

(DISCLAIMER: I only watched the first few episodes of Season 1 Rescue Heroes - if guns, Decepticons, or any violence at all was introduced afterwards, disregard above rant! )

Uh, no?

It's one of the smartest written childrens' shows ever. PBS, Nick Jr., and Disney Jr. ought to be taking notes from these guys, since the last thing it's doing is "dumbing down" anything.

The final episode of season 1 even feature a post-apocalyptic totalitarian dystopia, for crying out loud.

And?

You're completely missing the point.

Plus, since when is Morocco not evil?

Would you not consider the deeds performed by the many men and women who work in the emergency response services in real life heroic?

It doesn't take a war to make for good storytelling.

Once again, and?

Right, because every single problem in real life can only be solved by forms of violence and aggression. >:oP

Um, hello?

Tim Curry as an unbeatable, untouchable brilliant madman is menacing enough.

To be frank, that still doesn't sound too healthy for someone that young to already be fascinated by weapons and killing. Even if it's just a game to him, there's still plenty of potential for someone to get hurt. Yes yes, it's "just a game", but at the same time, Russian Roulette is also "just a game". :-s

Rescue Heroes is a different show.

Metrosuplex wrote:All of us that grew up in the "violent" G1 era did not turn out disgruntled and dangerous.
You'd be surprised.

You're completely missing the point of what kind of example the G1 Autobots wanted to set. They fight because they have no other choice. They abhor using violence and would gladly jump at the chance to end the conflict and violence once and for all. They hate fighting. They hate having to use guns and weapons. They'd rather melt them down for scrap than use them, but are forced to use them because of the murderous actions of their enemies.

Too late, bub! Shoulda said so in the first place. Congratulations on ranting with inadequate info. Here is your prize:
