Just got movie Scorponok tonight.
I am surprised. This is a cool little guy.
The paint apps are on-target, there are no cracks, scratches, etc., like on protocrap SS.
He has this cool little feature where the wheels on his belly are connected to gears that turn his drill pinchers/claws.
His robot mode is pretty lame, but his alt mode as a scorpion...pretty slick for a little deluxe figure.
I was going to wait for the 2-pack with Blackout, but I could not resist.
All of the deluxes were on the endcap, every one was there. In all honesty, they did not excite me, except for Scorponok.
I am looking at him now...not bad at all for $10.
By the way, the whole endcap was rumaged through before I arrived.
There were plenty of Jazz, Baricade, Wreckage, etc.
But I found the only Scorponok.
Damn, he looks badass.
This figure makes me wish for a Supreme class Blackout to put him in.
Oh well, I will just settle for the Voyager (?), Leader (?) Blackout instead.
Anyway, Scorponok is the only deluxe I give a damn about, all the rest just look kinda...blah.

My order from Ages 3 and Up came in. I've yet to add the long smokstacks to my MP- Magnus but they look very nice. Yes Magnus needed stacks, the ones he came with look tarnished and chewed. The KO Robotech Veritech is quite possibly the best KO ever. He's pretty quality. Only problem he has is staying snapped together firmly. Otherwise he's pretty nice.

Today I bought movie Bumblebee. I don't consider him to be a Transformer and certainly not Bumblebee, but a random transforming soldier that I'll use in my "Bad Mother Truckers" animations.
The car mode is nice. Gotta love the Camaro. Unfortunately, getting him to stay/look good in car mode isn't easy due to the side panels not fitting in place and useless spring gimmick releasing the nose when you don't want it to (and vice-versa).
Transformation isn't particularly hard, but getting him back into a car takes time. And if you don't follow the instructions exactly, I'm not sure if he can actually get back into car form.
The robot mode is terribly uninteresting. The missiles don't look so good, and there really should have been transparent plastic, like on the figure in the package photos. There's a lot of moulded-in detail, but most of it will be missed due to lack of paint apps. Personally, I don't mind - since I'm not looking for movie-accuracy, I feel that a bunch of yellow splashes would just look ugly.
Overall, I'm unimpressed. I can't wait for this guy to get shot up in my films. On another note, what is it with the movie figures feeling so 'cheap-looking'? The plastic and their weight really make them seem fragile, almost like knock-offs...
