It's the same price as what I paid, but between the exchange rate and only 2,650 yen Air Small Packet shipping (took exactly one week to arrive) it was too good to pass up. But Americans don't have to pay VAT or customs or whatever.

After a long, LOOOONG wait (but could have been worse), I finally got the Takara Ghost Starscream VS Waspinator set. Me and my friend bought it together. I bought the Starscream while my friend bought the Waspinator.

On my end, I just keep the Ghost Starscream and gave my friend's everything else. Box and papers along the Wasp.

Starscream looks amazing.

I went to my geek store today and came back with MPM Brawl and the Legacy United 4 pack.

Brawl looks promising and that 4 pack look solid. The fact that Cliffjumper is a heavy retool of Rescue Bot Chase was unexpected.

Local Walmart had a bunch of Transformers stuff on clearance. All of the Toxitron series stuff and select stuff from the Earthspark and Rise of the Beasts lines. Picked up Deluxe ES Optimus Prime for $14.50.

And got a Deluxe ROTB Scorponok from Target.com for $20.

Also, not here yet, but a huge box of Transformers I ordered on AmiAmi back in APRIL using surface mail finally gave me a shipping notice today... from California. Weird, until now the status just said "preparing to ship".

Also a little sour that I missed a "G-2" Ultra Magnus on eBay after getting sniped at the last minute by $5 on my $250 bid. Never going to see another one that low again. Oh well, the other person probably bid something ludicrous anyway.

Found Vector Prime at Walmart and got Magmatron in from Amazon!

Not sure I can call my Tf purchases are hauls anymore but hey ho.

A nice pair together, kind of reminds me of silkworm/Swiv game except no copter.

Detrius is kind of ugly. Feel bad for anyone buying the 5 pack just to have a hound when classics/henkai is so much better. The paint feels like it will flake off the windscreen section. Doesn't seem to be titan master seting comaptable which I mistakingly thought the even lack luster siege mold could do. I like it enough to have it in the collection though and really like the autobot/decepticon symbol over the just wrong merc one.

Cloud over is great, probably feels even better as it's first use of the mold I have with the others being stupid pricey. One of the hands has weird blemishes from new but even that doesn't detract from having him. The colors really work and g2 decepticon symbols are a nice touch.

I made an impulse purchase at Mandarake. A used Grand Galvatron set, the only "random" combiner that really interested me.
21K yen was a good price.

Then, here comes the 8K yen of shipping.

and finally, 37$CAN in custom fees.

Overall, around 300$CAN for the set.

Could be worse. I could have bought it from eBay...

Today is the first day of the Montreal Comiccon.
So here's my haul:

GI Joe Classified Sergeant Slaughter (a childhood hero!)

A NES hat.

And 60$CAN in Transformers scraps.
A shame that that Ratchet is missing the rear bumper and his "secret claw", but at least I have these nice G1 Metroplex legs. I'll be able to properly fix my spare G1 Metroplex!

I got this today too from Amazon.

But the real reason I'm posting this is... WTF, AMAZON? A sturdy shipping box, in pristine condition, with PADDING INSIDE...

OK, lots of stuff here.

Let's start with Mandarake:

Robot Masters Double Face, Kabaya DX Big Powered Set and the Kabaya GO! set was one box.
Burning Cheetor was also one box because sometimes you just can't find other things to bundle with an item. Thankfully shipping was really cheap.

Next, eBay:

Pulled the trigger on a vintage Burning Convoy taking me further down the clear red plastic rabbit hole. The packaging is a little rough and the figure is dusty, but shows no paint wear, though the hips are kinda loose, but that's probably the old clear plastic's fault. Got it from a Canadian seller so it wasn't super expensive either.

Big box time, AmiAmi clearance Transformers, waited two months for this one to show up:

Even rarer is Burning Plasma Blaster, but I already scored one of those. Super happy to have the trio now, made everything worth it! I do have one more Mandarake box coming with another clear red guy in it. And shipping was only $40 so I really did save on this.

Day 2 of Montreal's Comiccon.

I did my panel about repairing and customizing Transformers. There was over 30 people in the room! I expected 4 or 5.

Anyway, all of my energies were for my panel so I didn't do much shopping. However, I landed some old custom that was in a scrap bin of a 2007 voyager Starscream! I got it for 5$CAN.
How appropriate!

One more victim for my lab.
