Sometime this summer, with the Robot Heroes out in stores, I got the crazy idea to buy a complete set of the G1 figures for the sole purpose of making them into ornaments for a small Christmas tree. Y'know, since I'm going for the more traditional Christmas with the main tree.

I had access to a drill press to bore a small hole in the top of their head or back. I then screwed some 1/2 inch screw eyes into the holes. I found the screw eyes at Wal-mart, smallest I could come across. With the addition of a hook, they are just the right size for about any tree. In addition, there is the large Autobot symbol and some smaller Autobot and Decepticon emblems from Target I used to fill out the tree.

May be a tad overboard, but it was a lot of fun and I am enjoying my Transformers tree a lot. Here are some pics of the results:

When I was teaching in Korea, I decorated my Christmas tree with A LOT of SD Gundams (with Wing Zero Custom as the angel). It is nice to have a tree that reflects what we enjoy.

That's a great idea, too bad my wife would never go for it. Maybe I'll get a little table-top tree for work and do that.

That's all I've done here. It's just a 3-foot tall tree I found for $10 at Wal-mart. It's sitting on a desk in the same room with my computer to add some Christmas decoration to a room that otherwise wouldn't have any.

Are we talking outside or inside? :grin:

I had a couple of ideas, but it'd take more time and resources then I can spare atm. Not sure how the neighbors would feel about Santa Prime out in the front yard being pulled by Ravage reindeer anyway.
