I went to Best buy looking for a fathers day gift for my dad, then I discovered Transformers war for Cybertorn on the Xbox 360 they had laying out. The full freking game! I dont know if its every Besy Buy or just mine, but I played War for Cybertron! It is amazing!

My review:
I havent played an Xbox in years, ever since my Xbox broke about 8 years ago. But I still could follow the controls and play the game like a pro! The game isnt too hard (like the Armada game) or too easy (like ROTF) and that makes it awesome! It has every element of a good game with Transformers thrown on top! At one point its a third person shooter, then another point its a platformer, then its a strategy game, then a puzzle game, then just a big freking epic battle to the death! It truely is the best Transformers game ever! Not only that but one of my favorite games ever! I didnt even beat a single level, I played parts of both campaignes though. And if 2 levels have all of this in there, just imagine what the whole game has!

Ive had the game for a week and I love it I hope they make another one!

So ignore the fact it's Transformers, would it be worth a day 1 purchase from just a game value point of view?

For me, definately! After playing it see now how badly the past TF games sucked!

Good to know that the game is good from people that actually played at leaste some of it. I won't be getting it 'till 2 days from now.

I've had it since Friday and whilst I found the game to be good I felt that the missions were too repetitive and sometimes too long. Some were so long that on some occasions I got bored of doing the whole run and shoot, run and shoot all the time so was quite relieved to have some stages where I just had to drive like mad from A to B just for the change. The AI wasn't the best either, I lost count of the times I had my team mates run into my gunfire when I was shooting at an enemy, it reminded me of Operation Flashpoint.

I think there could of been more character selection for missions and more to do offline as not all of us are connected to XBL. So even though the story is good, the graphics are gorgeous I just felt a little let down. Now I've completed it there's nothing else to keep me playing it, which is a shame. So looks like it's back to Red Dead Redemption again.

All in all I would give it 7/10.

Yeah, I never went into this game thinking it was really going to be anything more than driving or shooting. But that's fine by me. These are robots at war after all. Glad to hear that it is still fun though Can't wait until tues so I may play too. At least then I can hone my skills. It seems to me at night all the really awsome players come out and I get my chasis handed to me
