Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread
Personally I'd love to see Rack and Ruin either as distinct characters or as a single one whose vehicle mode turn into conjoined robots.

My Digibash of Rack and Ruin is based on them before they were joined. It would be easier to do and at least we know they could transform, unlike after they were joined. Still they need to be made to finish off the Wreckers

Personally - I'm excited to be thinking about a new Jetfire with removable armour panels (possibly from a deluxe partsformer) rather than (relatively) minor characters from sub groups....

I hear you there, sir. I would be nice, but the best we can really hope for in that department is probably some retools just to reuse a mold...
But I get the vibe from how Hasbro is talking that this is very much a reset button on everything thats gone before it, with an entirely new aesthetic. I think we're in for a long haul of Cyberonian 84-86:Movie bots.

Hopefully if they do make a Jetfire in this line it'll be very cartoon Skyfire in design. He'd work as a full size Leader with no snap on parts.

I assume you're talking about a cartoon accurate alt mode specifically for Skyfire/Jetfire, because you really can't get more cartoon accurate for robot mode than the Thrilling 30 Leader version from a few years back.

Thrilling 30 Jetfire is great and should not be revisited anytime soon. neither should Springer or Sandstorm or even Roadbuster. Whirl maybe, but I would still be satisfied with the T30 one.
With Impactor coming, I fully agree we need a Rack'n'Ruin, Ironfist, Pyro, Rotorstorm, Guzzle, and even a Leadfoot to go with the team. I love my Wreckers, and considering the size of my force with members from other toylines that fit the part, I would love to keep growing it.

Thankfully, cartoon Skyfire's altmode was already Cybertronian, as he never took an Earth altmode like the others did, so this would indeed be Hasbro's chance to finally give us a full-on cartoon-accurate Skyfire with a non-Macross-based cartoon-accurate jet mode.Wolfman Jake wrote:Emerje wrote:Hopefully if they do make a Jetfire in this line it'll be very cartoon Skyfire in design. Minus a certain flaming bird creation by a non official Hb/Takara entity which is nearly 99% animation accurate, I second this x infinity.
The Legends Jetfire face sculpt knocks down the former figure's sculpt, though nearly as good by miles plus the Don Figueroa inspired mixing of the VF1-S helmet integration

Transformers Siege Ratchet Found on Walgreens Database + Siege Deluxe Pricing Revealed
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
We have some Transformers Seige War For Cybertron news for you today. Rob Springer found some listings on the Walgreens computer. Firstly, we see the War for Cybertron Siege assortment, which has a retail price of $17.99 USD. This is not the MSRP, this is simply what Walgreens chooses to sell them for in their store.
There is also a listing for deluxe Ratchet and this one is both outside the assortment and priced at $19.99. This gives a pretty good hint that like Wreck Gar, who was also singled out on the Walgreens database, Ratchet will be an exclusive figure.
We also see Walgreen's cost for these figures, which is over $13, meaning they are making less than $5 per deluxe sold at full price.

Medical Officer Ratchet being a pharmacy store exclusive is all kinds of apropos.

I LOL'ed to this ... to which I had to explain to my wife while I'm working on my laptop right now doing Seibertron stuff while she's watching "The Real Housewives of Some County I Could Care Less About", who probably didn't appreciate the irony of this as much as we do. This is pretty funny if you think about it. Thanks for pointing out something laugh worthy, Sabrblade.

Oh great, more Walgreens exclusives that will be seen by all 2 people who are insanely lucky to find them in store, just like wreck-gar
. Sad thing is that it's a character I've been wanting for a very long time.
I wouldn't complain normally... you know if we could actually find the exclusives where they should be in stores.

Wreck gar was never found in US stores, never. He will be part of their massive holiday stocking. Just wait, he is sure to get there since there is no other US retailer Hasbro is shipping these to. And the same will happen with Ratchet one year from now.

Really? I could have swore that someone said they found it on the west coast back on the potpie forums. Must be my faulty memories.

Also, holiday stocking? Hmm, wasn't exactly expecting that to be the time that Wreck-Gar shows up. I was expecting late July, early September. Oh well. Thanks for the heads up.

That's not even fair. Wreck-Gar should only just now start showing up. Most Walgreen's exclusives show up in bulk at some point, just like the Clone set which was widely available. You'll have your chance. Wreck-Gar is most likely "Christmas" stock and should be widely available soon.

It's too bad Hasbro didn't think of this for Walgreens back during Combiner Wars. It would have made getting that Ratchet retool/redeco a LOT less painful for many fans. You either had to invest almost $200 for a Japanese boxset release or you had to spend the money to attend a convention and go to a special class with limited seating or buy one of the leftovers on site.
