Is there a bloody difference? Sorry, I am not well oriented with the Energon line.

There is no difference. The second pic is the original packaging, about half way through Energon they switched to the 'Powerlink Battles' packaging (first image), the toys themselve are identical.

There were two versions of divebomb though. Early versions of divebomb came with the weapon where one had a pegged point and the other had a sharp point. Those were more cartoon accurate weapons. Later divebombs came with both weapons pegged. That way you could put one in each hand like an axe/club. I don't think you could tell from the packaging though.

Really? I'd love to see these 'sharp point' versions because I've never heard of them?

I think the single-handle version is the one pictured on the back of the box.

I'm going to see if Google has any images...

I think it's viewable here:

http://www.transformerland.com/energon. ... e=Divebomb

The weapon on his right arm is the pointy one.

EDIT: Confounded quote button...

Ah I see, so one end had a handle and the other didn't. Were many of these actually released?

Doubtful. I don't think any appeared in the Powerlink Battles boxes. I'd wager it was probably the first run when he came in the original box. I was trying to find more details but a lot of sites seem to be blocked at work.

Well, I bought myself Energon Divebomb with the original packaging on ebay for $12.50. I will take some photos when I get him.

He's a really great figure on of the best Terrorcons from the Energon line. I have both original colour variants and would love to get a hold of the BotCon versions.

This is the auction I won. It must be the "common version".
