Hi all,
I'm transforming Ultimate BB from car back to robot mode and I am stuck at the legs. If you look at the instructions Step 9, to get from robot to car you press two pegs on each leg together, while pushing that leg up.
Now I'm at the stage, reversing directions, where I am trying to elongate his legs again to get him to bot mode. I'm squeezing both pegs in and then trying to pull out his shankes. Nothing. I try without squeezing the pegs. Nothing
i don't want to risk breaking the toy so I'm posting this hoping for some help. I've checked out some vids on line, unfortunately they only show going from bot to car mode, not vice versa.
Thanks!

Um.. I had some trouble too, but they were able to be forced open. Kinda' like MP Megatron, I think you just have to push harder than you think you should.
Don't break it tho...
that's an eighty dollar toy!

On mine a good firm pull extended the legs on the first try. I tried it with and without pushing in the buttons/tabs and it doesn't matter....

You have to use the buttons to push the leg in - but not take it out....
I pushed the buttons in the first time I transformed him from car to robot. But it didn't seem to be necessary so the 2nd time I carefully pulled the legs out without pushing the buttons: same result.

Our Ultimate Bumblebee had that problem, too. Not wanting to break him, we returned him to the store, and luckily found another the next day at another store that didn't have the problem. We have yet to transform him from robot to car (and back again) a second time to see if we still have that problem.

push the leg in first, like you were closing it for alt mode ... while pushing the pegs in. Rock it back and forth like this and it should budge. This is what I do for mine. Even if you have to bend him back and forth at the knee while wiggling his leg, these are the movements that will work it loose.
Of course the knee bending will only work for changing him back to a car though. He's a pain, but it's better than being too loose!
