Ultimate BumbleBee is one of the best Transformers ever.
Nothing really compares in detail. The thing is incredible.
In the box it looks small, but when you pull it out of th ebox, it is huge! And amazingly detailed! The transformation is very similar to the Deluxe 08 Bumblebee, th eonly difference is the doors unhinge, but this is not as big of a deal as the youtube video shows. So in both vehicle mode and especially robot mode, nothing comes close to this.
Now for the electronics, awesome, definitely worth the gimmick. The speech is very loud and the lights are amazingly bright. Tons of phrases and clean movement. In car mode, if you push the car it makes engine noise proportional to te speed the car is moving, so the faster you push the car, the faster the engine moves. Another cool feature is that if you don't transform it to car mode perfectly and you press the button, it sounds like trying to start a car, without it turning over. Once you see this thing in person, you're gonna have to have it!

Picked up two of them this weekend. One for me, one for my Girlfriend. I've found a big problem with the UBB. He WILL NOT stand up in robot mode. No matter which way I put the legs, he falls over on his back every time, or he does the splits! Thought it was a problem with one, but openned the other, and it does the same thing.
As a car, he's pretty awesome.

I think you have him mistransformed, mine did this at first, but then I saw the hips rotate up and the thing is rock solid now, I can flick it from any direction and it doesn't even wobble.

Yeah, he's not fully transformed out of the box. He's only partially in robot mode, I think the feet aren't done with the rear tires and the expandable toes, his doors aren't plugged into the back because his windshield isn't rotated away, his hips aren't pushed up so he can stand, and that's all I can remember for the moment from opening mine (which was a bitch with all those twistie ties!).
He'll stand fine after Getter posts the pics for you to pose him properly.

Hahah mine has finally arrived! I haven't even taken him out of the box (have to wait for an opportune moment when I have at least an hour alone at home!) and I like him lots.
When I collected him from Toys R Us, a couple of staff were trying to transform him. I question the wisdom of getting uninterested staff with no experience mishandling a toy like this roughly. They weren't able to get him to stand, so they tried searching through the instructions and managed to get one hip locked... I think they should have hired me to help out.
My fees to be offset against the cost of my BB, which surprisingly, works out to USD$83 after conversion... almost the same price that you guys are getting him!
Come to think of it... I'm two ways about opening him. keep MISB or not? If only I could have another one... he's not cheap as Deluxes where i can afford to buy two!

Man that does look good. I havent seen any in retail..however at the local import shop I did get to see the japanese release version. It was tempting but they were asking $109 and I will jsut wait for when I see it in stores. It did look damn cool though...I toyed around with his voice button a bit.

With two hands and a movie-accurate chest, the toy would look much better. That arm cannon its too small and the entire robot looks chubby.

Since you are in Washington, try Target. I am not sure how regionally stocked the targets are, but the ones down near portland had them. The nerds working at Toys R Us seemed to know this when I asked them if they were getting this. They hope to have theirs soon. The two targets I went to down here had two each, after me, one of them still has one. Im just hoping that the Toys R Us guys don't scalp up all the Deluxe Bumblebees when they restock here, since they did seem pretty knowlegable about the toys.

I'd love one of those, can't afford it for a few months but still... the more I look at the gun hand the more I dislike it.

Wow, the pics with the MP and Legends figure sure put his size into perspective.
I would like to get myself one of these figures (and I am sure the gf would steal of me straight away), but (if they are even released in Australia) they are going to cost upwards of AU$150, possibly closer to AU$200.
Thats alot of money to drop on a figure I wont transform much, and requires the same amount of space as a 2 year old child (not to mention the safety hazard to any 2 year old child!)

I tend to disagree.
About the detail... I find it very amusing. I can't simply see any remarkable detail on that... it doesn't look anything like the Bumblebee in the movie...
But however, it displays a very nice electrical sound and movement.

Not knocking your collection, or your opinion GD, but I have to say, he's become even more unimpressive in my mind.
Definitely a clearance item, or not at all. =\
Wow...when you compare the Ultimate, to the Deluxe...there is no comparison...Deluxe wins, hands down.
